It was a great way to spend a beautiful fall day in Chicago. The guide was great - personable, knowledgeable, focused on us having a good time. Enjoyed all the stops and the food. Loved walking through such neat areas of the city. My only suggestion would be to have less chocolate related places and substitute with something else. I would definitely take another tour with your company and hope that you will keep me informed of up and coming events. |

This was truly a remarkable experience. We had a great group of about 14 total and a beautiful day to walk the neighborhoods of Chicago. I will keep my list of restaurants handy, many I have already been to but some I have not and I look forward to exploring. I do plan on purchasing some gifts (and some items for myself) from a number of the shops we visited. I particularly liked the 18 year aged vinegar and of course, the chocolate samples.
The historical sites and the fun facts regarding real estate and the various changes that these neighborhoods went through were fascinating. I was born in Chicago, grew up in the suburbs and visit the city often, yet I learned a LOT! I would love to explore additional neighborhoods/establishments. Please keep me on your mailing list! |

the weather was very nice, i went on tour with my husband and in laws, the tour was fun and unique, the guide was patient and nice.
however i will not recommend this tour to people who are not in good shape, that was a long distance walking around, but we discovered new areas and places to shop. |

This tour was entertaining for about an hour. This is not a food tour of Chicago. This is a tour in which they show you a bit of Chicago. Every once in a while they stop at random places where there is very minor amounts of food. Very little of the food is actually from Chicago. It seemed as if the places selected were chosen because they allowed the tour to stop there, not because of any particular significance. Also, It ran 4 hours (an hour longer than expected). |

My wife and I have been to Chicago many times, but had never taken a guided tour of the city. The description of the tour sounded great (we are both foodies), so we enthusiastically signed up. The tour itself was better than either of us had imagined. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, both about the places we specifically visited and about Chicago in general. The tastings were also amazing--the types of food were very diverse (from spices and oils to pizza and chocolate) and overall very filling (no dinner afterwards!). However, even if you are not really into the specific food tastings during the tour, this tour provides a great overview of where to find some of the city's best restaurants that are often overlooked by tourists as well as gives a better intro to the history of some of Chicago's neighborhoods then you will get on some other neighborhood walking tours. I would extremely, greatly, highly recommend this tour to anyone!! The only warning I have is that after taking this tour, all other Chicago historical walking tours will seem boring and bland! |

We had a great guide on a beautiful fall day with family from out of town! We taste tested interesting and yummy items including tea, spices, cheeses, vinegars & oils, pizza, potato pancakes, butter toffee, etc. We received a lot of very interesting information about the places we visited and the products they carried, as well as the history of the area we walked through. Niki, our guide, was engaging, entertaining, and full of information. |

The tour was even more interesting than we anticipated. The tour guide was informative and entertaining. We especially enjoyed the Oil & Vinegar shop. It was a place that we may not have sought out on our own. We also enjoyed the time spent at the Spice shop. It was a very good mix of food and history. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting the Chicago area. |
