I thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgable about the food/store stops we made and she also added neighborhood information making the tour that much more enjoyable. I can't wait to return to Chicago and try another one of your tours!

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. It had something for both of us. Chocolate for me, pizza for my husband. We were both happy at the end of the morning. The walks thru the different neighbourhoods were lovely as well as informative. I would not reccomend if you have have children who are not foodies as I think they would become bored . Every city I visit I will be looking for this tour to do. Come hungry !

Very Good Experience

It was a very good experience. We visited some local stores/ deli/ restaurant in approximately 3.5 hours by foot. It was very nice to learn how to correctly prepare tea or about the differences in spices we might encounter. Also we had the opportunity to taste Chicago style pizza, chocolate, sweets, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I would like to have received a little bit more information about the history of the neighborhood or, if it was enough, it would have been nicer if the pace of the tour had been slower.

This tour came highly recommended by friends of mine who visited Chicago last Labour Day weekend and I have to say they were spot on! I attended the tour alone and knew I was in for a great afternoon after being greeted by Jess, a sweet and energetic tour guide. After a brief conversation, I could tell she was extremely passionate and eager to share with us some of the local food establishments and neighbourhoods. The food at our seven stops was well planned, offered a variety and was delicious, but what made the experience truly enjoyable was being able to walk around the Near North and Old Town districts while Jess gave us the history of the area. Thanks Jess for a fabulous tour and an awesome afternoon. This was definitely one of the highlights on my Chicago visit and I highly recommend this tour to all visitors.

Perfect Way for Foodie to See Chicago

I was in town on business with a little more than 6 hours of free time and it was my first time ever in Chicago. I tried to think of the best way to explore and still get the local flavor as well. Kent lead our tour- which was the perfect blend of history, food, and unique stops- not too much food- but perfect for the food-minded individual. I would absolutely try the other tour next time I'm in town-which I hope will be sooner than later. Definitely would recommend this for first time visitors- and as I talked to a bunch of Chicago-ans, many of them weren't familiar with some of the places, so I'd think locals would love it too...and savor the Ashkenaz deli, which I thought was the best reuben I've ever tasted hands down.

Jess was a great tour guide, not only did she have vast knowledge of the food we were trying, but also of the area's history. She presented it in such a way that felt personalised, and not read from a script. We tried many different foods, and the range of places we visited was great - i went back to them later in the day to purchase more!
