Jess was a great guide. The food was very good. The neighborhood history was very interesting. Went back to the hotel and told the concierge all about it. He will definately recommend the tour in the future. He had never heard of it. Can't wait to go back to Chicago and take one of the other tours.

I went on the Near North cultural and tasting tour to really experience a small part of Chicago. I was greeted by an animated, knowledgable, friendly, and poised host - Kent. He was organized and articulate. He explained the types of food we ate, sampled and gave us a lot of background and historical information during the tour. There was a fair bit of walking and unfortunately it was pouring rain. Kent, was so entertaining; however, that the tour was still enjoyable. The first two stops of the tour were food heavy as we ate an entire Rueben sandwich and a large slice of deep dish pizza. The next stops were more tasting stops. I think the best part of the tour was just walking around the Gold Coast, Old Town area and having someone explain the architecture and history of the area. Like I said, there is a fair bit of walking so I would suggest looking into the weather and being prepared. Rain or shine, the tour really was a highlight of my short time in Chicago. I would definitly take the other tours offered, when I return. The tour gives you a glimpse off of the beaten track.

Enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide, provided lots of information in a fun way. Great assortment of food and tastings. Delicious deli sandwich, deep dish pizza and although the spice and oil tastings were not filling they were incredibly tasty and interesting (and after the sandwich and pizza you need a food break), the tea and pastries rounded out the day well. Will definitly try the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour on my next visit!

the food stops were quite good but the commentary provided by our guide was worth the price of the tour alone. will look forward to visiting a different neighborhood tour in the future.

It was a rainy day but the tour was fantastic. The tour guide was very informative and fun. She made the tour fun for all included. Thought it was a fun and compacted way to see a very exciting part of Chicago. Thanks again.

This was the only tour I scheduled from home, and I was very satisfied! The guide, Kent, was fun and kept things moving. The group was the right size to fit in the little shops. The seven shops were chosen for high quality and they delivered! The map provided was a useful touch - I wish I had the time to go back and shop. (I will shop online for some of them.)

Our guide was informative ,friendly, patient with a good sense of humor. The selection of food places in the tour was a good mix and pleasing to most people with a curious palette.
