Near North Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour

This was the best tour I have been on. Any tour is only as good as the guide. Jess was our guide and the tour was fantastic. She was friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She made the tour interesting with facts and anecdotes. This is a brilliant idea, the diversity of the tastings and the shops visited ensures that there WILL be something you have never tasted before, and it's all good. There is just enough walking to get a feel for the area and to allow you to appreciate the beautiful architecture of this AMAZING city. Thank you Jess, for three great hours, and your excellent directions, I DID find the zoo and the lake!! Can't wait to return and try the other tours.

It was a well paced relaxing tour of Chicago with good food.

This was a terrific walking food tour of a Chicago neighborhood. Of course it was fun seeing and being a part of the neighborhood and then to have delicious food samples only added to the pure joy of the day. Our leader, Kent, was enthusiastic, sensitive to the group's needs, knowledgeable, and possessed a great sense of timing. The time flew by. One of my favorite stops was the vinegar and oil shop. In fact, I liked the products so much that when I returned to Maine, I ordered a shipment of the products - of course, using my 10% discount. I thoroughly recommend this tour.

Loved the Near North Food Tour! I would definitely recommend this adventure. I loved all the shops, the samples were fabulous, and I thoroughly enjoyed the bits of history that our guide told us during our walk. After the tour, I went back to a few of the shops to use my discounts and take home some of the fun. I was in the city by myself, so I took the tour as a single. It wasn't a problem. The group was welcoming and so was the guide. I would definitely take this tour again or try one of the other tours. Thanks!!

Had a great time, Oil, Spices, and Tea, seriously good time!

I have been on food tours in other cities and this one is one of the better ones. Frustrated that we were taken to a store to taste olive oil! Olive oil? Not a food tasting nor was the spice shop. However, when the food tour was over those were two of the stores we all went back to for purchases. My suggestion would be for the olive oil store to offer bread and the spice store to offer a little snack.

I was in Chicago for only a few days but I knew that I wanted to take a food tour, not only because it's a way to learn the local neighborhood but as an easy way to find good food! The North Side Food tour did not disappoint. The food was good and the tour guide helpful and informative. Will definitely take the other tours if I ever get the chance to go back to Chicago.
