Near North Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour

This was our first visit to Chicago and we had researched various attractions on several websites. The Chicago Food Planet Tours caught our interest since it seemed like the perfect opportunity to explore local neighbourhoods and to partake in local food favourites. Both our tour guide and the total experience exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend the tour and hope to try another of their walking tours on a future visit.

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and then moved away. While back visiting I decided to take this tour. The food was fabulous and I couldn't believe the amount of history I learned that I had never heard before. The tour guide was cheery, humorous and able to answer any question our group threw at her. She even pointed out some of her personal favorite restaurants outside of the tour as we walked the lovely streets of Chicago. I can't wait to make a trip back to Chicago again so I can sign up for the China Town food tour.

Perfect weather and an enthusiastic tour guide, made this tour fun and fabulous. We enjoyed the variety of tastings and learned a lot about cuisine and history of Chicago.

This tour is wonderful-well pacedl, great balance of tasting and education, and lots of fun. Our guide, Jesse, was so knowledgeable and fun to be with. It was the perfect combinatioin of learning about local cuisine and neighborhoods. We'll be looking into doing some of the other tours when we have out of town company.

The tour was fun and interesting, as was the food. Definitely recommend this tour.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food, as well as spending time in the Old Town neighborhood and learning some interesting history of the area....I would do this again!

I met a girlfriend in Chicago and we decided to do the food tour together. It was fun and we got to experience lots of great food together plus learn more about the area. I would recommend this as something for friends to do together.

We had a great, very energetic tour guide. The food was all good, and we really enjoyed seeing different parts of the city. We loved the neighborhoods we walked through. The spice and oil stores were my favorites, I had never been to specialty shops like those before. Can't wait to try another tour when we come back to the city.

Our guide was a delighful young lady, who teaches French literature at a local university. She made the tour fun, well paced and she is a wealth of knowledge. The food choices were excellent. We will absolutely do this tour again.

We had a perfect day for the tour, enjoyed the walk and narration, thought it was way too much delicious food (well, that can't be!) and we're very happy with Angie's enthusiasm and incredible knowledge.
