This was the second time we took this tour. It was excellent! The food was plentiful and yummy! Also, our tour guide, Jess, was knowledgeable and very energetic and super fun! This is an absolute must if you love Chicago or are just curious about it. If you love food, variety, architecture, history and lots of stories, you'll love this tour!

First visit to Chicago and we wanted to pack it all in. This tour was a great way to get a sense of the neighborhoods, local history and food specialties. Our guide Jess, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and genuinely wanted to share her city with us. The restaurants and merchants we visited were terrific--we ventured back a few days later to the Spice Merchant, & Old Town Oil to make some purchases. Don't miss the Mexican restaurant next to Second City--we stopped for lunch on our second adventure to Old Town and were not disappointed. Fresh made at your table guacamole, margaritas and top notch food.

My husband and I enjoyed this tour very much. There was good balance and variety and our tour guide Nicole gave us lots of information without making that part of the tour boring. Yummy, yummy treats and eats. My only suggestion would be to end the tour with the sweet and not the savory (although I do understand why it is done this way). I also enjoyed the walking portion. The architecture was very beautiful.

We were a bit worried that we wouldn't like the "olive oil" tastings and the spice shop. Those two ended up being our favorites of the day. All three of my children were fascinated!

This is the second time I went on this tour. The guides have been upbeat, helpful and fun both times. The choices of stops are unique and fun. The best part, they don't try to sell you anything! They don't even let you purchase goods at the places we visit. They encourage you to go back afterwards and purchase, which we did.

We thought it was a lot of fun and learned a lot about different foods, beverages, spices and flavorings. I only wish we were allowed time to shop (we were cautioned not to - even though there were coupons/incentives to shop at the stores we visited). We are considering doing another food tour in a different neighborhood.
