| The tour was very nice, and the tour guide was great -- very energetic and knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun, even though we were walking about 4 hours in 80 degree heat! I did learn a lot and felt like the tour showed us new places we wouldn't have found otherwise, and we know more for future visits. The tour is definitely worth doing, with a few side notes:
I would recommend a light lunch or good breakfast beforehand, because you don't really eat enough to span the afternoon and you will be hungry if you have skipped lunch.
Also, there is no shopping on the tour -- we were leaving the next morning, so we didn't have extra time, and it was very frustrating to reach the end and either have to pay cabs to get back to the shops or retrace an hour or so of walking to go back and buy the products. It cost a little over $20 in cab fares to get back to the shops we wanted to buy from and then back to our hotels, which kind of canceled out the benefit of the coupons they offer. The way around that would seem to be scheduling smaller groups with some built-in shopping time, even ten minutes extra, in each shop. What would be even better would be is an arrangement with Chicago free Trolley system to meet people at the end and bring them back, or maybe stop at shops...
The tour is worth doing, just be prepared, depending on the length of your stay, to have to pay or walk more to go back and shop, and eat something or bring a little snack in your purse. Also recommend to do morning or when it's cooler... |

| Emily, our tour guide, was fantastic. Enjoyed all but one tasting, but even that one was OK...just not as great as the others. After the tour, went back to four of the tasting locations to shop. |

| Loved our tour guide! Learned about Chicago restaurants, some history, and architecture. Food was excellent: loved the oil/vinegar stop, spices, ethel's chocolates, and authentic pizza! All members of our group enjoyed the tour: we also liked that all food was vegetarian, and pretty healthy. |

| The tour was awesome. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We saw neighborhoods in Chicago that I'm sure we wouldn't have seen had we not taken the tour. We went back to some of the stops on the tour to purchase things. The only minor drawback was the walking felt more like 5 miles. |

| We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide was very knowledgable about the architecture, neighborhoods and the stores/cafes that we visited. If we were to suggest any changes it would be that maybe the last 2 stops were dropped because of the long walk to get to them although the pizza was great! |

| My husband and I started out trip to Chicago with this tour. It was the best thing we could have done! It gave us several ideas for places to go during our time in the city. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tastings opened our eyes to looking at foods in a different way. I definitely recommend taking this tour!! |

| My wife and I enjoyed this tour a lot. From the history of the city to the tour of some off the beaten path of some places, it was great. Our guide Jennifer was helpful, happy, and very patient with our group. I have already recommended it to friends and will continue to do so.

| Jennifer was a wonderful, helpful hostess with a lot of enthusiasm. She really seemed interested in our stay in Chicago and made an effort to talk to everyone. She gave us a fantastic breakfast spot (Wishbone). We really loved the tour and she was a large part of that. We had huge weather issues and she handled them with aplomb.
We are "foodies" from Seattle and wondered if we would learn anything from this tour. The answer is YES. The stores/tastings were great and we found a few specialty stores that we will be checking out online. Tthe three different neighborhoods were lovely and diverse and we also learned things about Chicago. We wanted to go back to certain areas due to us being able to walk through and feel the vibes of the neighborhoods. We loved looking at all of the amazing homes and different styles of architecture.
We couldn't cover as many areas in Seattle due to the steep hills. Chicago is flat and we could have walked forever....just bring an umbrella and be prepared for heat, wind and rain in June, or any month.
We feel that we really got a lot for the money with this amazingly fun food tour. Great job!!!

| Our tour guide Jennifer was fabulous. She was upbeat, friendly and enthusiastic. Jennifer was knowledgeable about the tour sites and the neighborhoods we visited. The food samples were delicious. It felt like a local friend was showing us around the town for a few hours. The tour stops were varied, but all wonderful in their own way. I felt like I saw a bit of Chicago I would not have seen otherwise.
This tour was so much fun. I would love if they offered another food tour emphasizing other Chicago neighborhoods.
All in all, a very fun afternoon. I would highly recommend for tourists and locals alike. |
