Nicki was our tour leader and she really made the walk fun and interesting. Even after having lived in Chicago for many years, she shared some great places and fun commentary. I will recommend this tour to all my friends....and that is the real test.
Go...you will love it. |

Our tour guide Nicki had a great deal of knowledge about the city that focused on other areas outside of restaurants, she was an enthusiastic individual who paid a great deal attention to each patron. The variety of the stores and restaurants were fantastic and surprising, the only thing i would warn each of the guests is that the tour does tend to go about 4 hours vs the 3 hours and the tour does not end where you begin and will need to either walk the 24 blocks back or arrange other transportation. The walk was fantastic and educational, I would recommend the tour to anybody who was interested in learning about Chicago, and for the money a great buy. The tour owner Shane followed thru all the way to ensuring every paid guest will be attending the tour. |

I signed up to take the tour on the first full day I was in Chicago. The size of the group was perfect...there were six of us....all women. We walked, talked, laughed and ate our way through our 3 hour tour. Tad, our guide was very good and told us interesting stories and facts about the city as we walked through the various neighborhoods. What was nice about the tour was that I went into shops I might not otherwise have gone. At each stop the shop owner/employee spoke to us about their store and handed out samples. My three favorite stops were: The Fudge Pot; The Spice House; and Old Town Oil. |

I really enjoyed my tour and highly recommend it for anyone!!
Our guide, Tad, was terrific!! He was very nice and informative. He pointed out so many interesting highlights of the neighborhoods and told us many interesting Chicago stories. He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and makes the tour so interesting and enjoyable! He was very accommodating and helpful with anything we asked.
Everything was well organized and there were no glitches at all. All-in-all one of my most memorable Chicago experiences!!! Keep up the good work!!!
It does require a lot of walking at a fairly brisk pace so be sure you emphasize this to anyone who inquires about the tour.
I will take this tour again and the next time bring my camera!! There are a lot of good photo opportunities!! |

It was a great way to spend a beautiful fall day in Chicago. The guide was great - personable, knowledgeable, focused on us having a good time. Enjoyed all the stops and the food. Loved walking through such neat areas of the city. My only suggestion would be to have less chocolate related places and substitute with something else. I would definitely take another tour with your company and hope that you will keep me informed of up and coming events. |

This was truly a remarkable experience. We had a great group of about 14 total and a beautiful day to walk the neighborhoods of Chicago. I will keep my list of restaurants handy, many I have already been to but some I have not and I look forward to exploring. I do plan on purchasing some gifts (and some items for myself) from a number of the shops we visited. I particularly liked the 18 year aged vinegar and of course, the chocolate samples.
The historical sites and the fun facts regarding real estate and the various changes that these neighborhoods went through were fascinating. I was born in Chicago, grew up in the suburbs and visit the city often, yet I learned a LOT! I would love to explore additional neighborhoods/establishments. Please keep me on your mailing list! |

the weather was very nice, i went on tour with my husband and in laws, the tour was fun and unique, the guide was patient and nice.
however i will not recommend this tour to people who are not in good shape, that was a long distance walking around, but we discovered new areas and places to shop. |

This tour was entertaining for about an hour. This is not a food tour of Chicago. This is a tour in which they show you a bit of Chicago. Every once in a while they stop at random places where there is very minor amounts of food. Very little of the food is actually from Chicago. It seemed as if the places selected were chosen because they allowed the tour to stop there, not because of any particular significance. Also, It ran 4 hours (an hour longer than expected). |
