Completely enjoyed our very knowledgeable guide, the tastings and the walking history tour! We returned later to make purchases and received discounts at the businesses- that was an added bonus!

A tour for the tastebuds!

The deli sandwich was the best I had ever tasted! We wished we could have shopped as we toured as it was our final few hours visiting Chicago; however, the oil/vinegar shop was very helpful and can ship to Canada. We only wished the tea company & spice company had the capacity to do the same - memorable day. Would highly reccomend!

This tour is wonderful....samplings are delicious, tour guide is friendly and knowledgeable, and the sense of history in these Chicago neighborhoods flows through the food and stories told by the guide. Highly recommended for anyone who wishes to explore Chicago's food culture.

I was lucky enough to experience the Near North Food Tour this past weekend and had a blast. Our guide was very knowledgable, fun, kind and very approachable. The food we encountered was light but filling. The walk was fast pased but not too much. TONS of great historical info given on the walks and on location. This will definitely not be not be my last tour!

This tour was great because it integrated both the food and the history and architecture of Chicago. My friend who lives in Chicago enjoyed it as much as I did. The food selection was terrific, and our guide was very perk, knowledgeable, and really worked very hard to give us a good tour. The 3 hour tour was well worth the time and money.

We enjoyed the tour, and our guide JESS was a pip. Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable she kept it moving. Although she wore a funny hat, I don't think that had any effect on the tour. Its not as long as it looks on the map and the food samples were just right as you kept walking. The people at the stores welcomed us and provided us with good information. Although there was no BBQ on the tour, it was worth the $$. Oh, and be careful you're not eating or drinking anything when Jess tells you about "killer" marshmellows....its hilarious!

We selected this tour as part of the activities for a reunion of 6 friends who haven't been together in 30 days. All of us enjoyed it immensely. The structure of the tour - breaking up the tastings with visits to the tea, spice and oil store, meant that you weren't stuffed at the end of the tour. The tasting choices provided a great sample of Chicago's particular cuisines. The tour also provided a great look at a neighborhood that most tourists wouldn't get to see on a short visit. Hilliary, our guide, was enthusiastic and knowledgible and got the entire tour group comfortable with one another immediately. It was a great experience. I look forward to my next trip to chicago and another food tour of a different neighborhood.

This was a great tour. It was a very outside look at Chicago and showed some of the cities hidden treasures.
