Strolling through the "Near North" of Chicago was enjoyed by everyone in our group, even in the rain - they had ponchos for us. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. Although the food was great, "food tasting" wasn't fair to use for the spice and oil stops, especially combined with a tea stop. This is easy to fix - provided some tapenade for the oil and vinegar, and some oatmeal for the cinnamon. We would recommend doing walking tours at the beginning of your visit so that you can easily return to shops that were especially interesting/yummy. The distance seemed more than it was, but then our feet were already a bit tired. It was an interesting blend of tasting and architectural/history stops. A great vacation activity! |

My 11 year old granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the Near North Food Tasting and Cultural
Tour. Not only did we learn a great deal about Chicago now and in the past, but all the tastings were delicious. I will definitely put this on my agenda for my next trip to Chicago. |

I loved roaming the North Chicago area visiting the local spots on the food tour of Chicago. Favorites were The Spice House and Tea Gschwendner. I highly recommend it, but bring your walking shoes!! |

It was cold and windy and rainy, and we had a four-year-old in tow, but our tour guide Chris kept everyone's spirits up with entertaining talks and enthusiasm for the food. We took some Chinese friends and they were especially enthusiastic about the oils and vinegars. All the venues were excellent. Great introduction to good food in Chicago.
