Chinatown Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour

I really enjoyed everything about this tour. Our tour guide was very educated, sweet and approachable. The food was delicious, I liked everything I tried (and I wouldn't have normally tried some of the cuisine on my own). I learned a lot about the culture and history of Chinatown and now feel much more comfortable navigating it on my own. Definitely worth the money!

This is a really great tour that you do not want to miss. Jess our guide took us to some great restaurants and filled us in on the local history and even some Chinese culture. We had so much fun, the next time we are in Chicago, we would take another tour from this group.

I was informed what is available for a resident of Chicago. Chinatown is so crowded that I have avoided it until the tour. I plan to take my husband and friends since Dim Sum is an expanding dining adventure.

This was a great tour. It not only included tasty food (and lots of it!), but also some cultural insite. Our guide (Lisa, I think) was very knowledgeable and provided enough information that I would be comfortable to go back to Chinatown with friends and eat at any of the restaurants we tried or any of the other ones on the recommended list! Our friends visiting from Australia were thrilled with the tour as well!

I've lived in chicago for 15 years and never madde the trek to chinatown. Great tour to discover chinatown and try some amazing chinese food. Will be going back to chinatown all the time for some of the best asian food I've had in the city

We have been to China town in Chicago before but did not feel like we knew where to eat or what to try. This tour gave us the confidence to go back and try more things. Our guide was excellent

I've taken four Bucktown tours and they were fabulous (obviously took a number of newbie foodies to each one). This time, my daughter and I along with 2 of my friends took the Chinatown tour and it was great! We all loved the fact that we could sit down for four of the tastings which were indicative of food from three of China's major provinces. We are locals (three from Chicago suburbs and one from the Gold Coast area in Chicago) and have been to Chinatown numerous times. However, by taking this tour, we enjoyed shops and restaurants we never knew about. Our tour hosts: Shane and Ploi (?) were very informative and very nice. In our walk to a nearby park in the newer section of Chinatown, I finally found the location of the seasonal water taxi stop. This is wonderful as we suburbanites can take a train to Chicago and a water taxi which is just outside the downtown train station. All in all, I loved all the food...even the extremely spicy Szechuan which was one of my favorite samplings (and I don't even like very spicy food!). Would I bring more friends/family to this particular tour again? You bet!

Our tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable, we enjoyed a wide variety of foods throughout Chinatown along with some great history along the way. I would highly recommend to everyone.
