Chinatown Food Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour

This was an excellent tour. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The guide was informative and very pleasant with the historic insights extremely interesting. The food was very good and I was impressed that consideration was given to the different food restrictions of some of those in the group. We had an interesting group of people and I would recommend it stay within the size of 10-12 people only. Would recommend that the guide tell people at the start that there will only be one piece of each item at the Dim Sum Restaurant and suggest the Peking Duck be shared immediately since it is much better when hot. Overall, I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes asian cuisine and history.

The food and the walking were excellent. The guide was very knowledgeable, articulate, and fun to hang with.

Our tour guide seemed very knowledgeable about Chinese culture and customs. She had answers for all sorts of questions thrown at her, which I found quite impressive. She also had a true understanding of the food, how it was prepared, spices used, etc. I found this extremely helpful, considering that I never quite cared for Chinese food...however, her "intros" helped me to determine what I probably could handle and what I probably could do without.

This is a fantastic tour to take with friends or family. Our guide, Alia, was very knowledgeable and the food was terrific. We loved that we got a list of restaurants in the area and a map too. We all will be going back soon. I would suggest this tour for out of town guests as well.

As a local, I learned a lot about the area, cuisine and history and felt the guide was very knowledgable. The length of tour and qty of food was perfect. Will highly recommend to both locals and out of town friends/guests.

Our tour guide was simply fabulous. She was knowledgeable, fun, enthusiastic and delightful. I highly recommend the Chinatown trip and the North end tour we took last time we were in Chicago. Next time we will incorporate the remaining tour. Get busy so we don't run out of foodie adventures. We have taken food tours in many cities and this was one of my favorite.Brought my sister and brother in law and they loved it too!

Not all the restaurants met our expectations, specifically Lao Beijing. Our guide was well informed, cordial, and enthusiastic. Having organized the tour quite well, she producted a satisfying experience that was lacking only in the kind of food and service we experienced in Lao Beijing. I'd never go there again.
