Near North - Wonderful tour!

I visited Chicago with a friend, and we chose this food tour as a way to see the city and to enjoy some classic Chicago food. The food and drink were from small and family-owned businesses - (no franchises here)! Heather, our tour guide, shared lots of interesting information about the neighborhood. The food was wonderful, and I would highly recommend this tour. I would suggest comfortable sneakers with lots of support as the tour lasts approximately 3 hours. There were a couple of occasions where our tour group sat down to eat; however, most of the tour was spent on our feet. Overall, I would recommend the experience, and I plan to do another food tour in the future.

I went for the Bucktown/Wicker Park food tour with a friend. It was a wonderful way to know the neighborhood. And, the tastings were simply delicious ---- the hot dog, hot chocolate, sultan's market, and icream were my favorite. Jade, our guide was wonderful as well. Looking forward to trying their other tours.

Nice mix of walking, eating and learning. Fun way to find new places to visit for dinner. Just the right amount of learning thrown into a fun eating experience.

Gina, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the BuckTown/Wicker Park Areas. She made the entire tour so enjoyable. We loved all of the 6 food tastings, especially Hot Chocolate. Our group wasn't sure how ice was going to taste in hot chocolate, but it tasted heavenly!! Gina kept the tour moving along well. There wasn't a boring moment. We would just suggest that maybe the tour should run 30 more minutes or so. We were so lucky to meet one of the owners of a magnificent home in Wicker Park. She was able to provide us with even more interesting information about her home and the area. So perhaps an extra 30 minutes of tour time would be nice. There would be a bit more time for questions from the audience. In short, we loved the tour and would recommend it to everyone interested in Chicago history and great places to eat!

We had a perfect day for the tour, enjoyed the walk and narration, thought it was way too much delicious food (well, that can't be!) and we're very happy with Angie's enthusiasm and incredible knowledge.

YUMMY

LOVED it. I loved the VIP tastings at each spot (no line, pre-paid, ready for you, brought to you). I loved how well the tour was put together. Just when you start getting a tad bit hungry, you are at your next tasting spot! And I loved the restaurant choices. Each stop was more charming/delicious than the next! I'm still dreaming about the homemade marshmallows from Hot Chocolate (sp?). As an architecure buff/foodie, I was pleasantly surprised with how many buidlings and houses were included in the tour. Oh, and our tour guide was friggin' awesome. She was hilarious, very well spoken, and super informed with historic info. Thanks for a great time!

I bought this as my boyfriend's birthday present and we both really enjoyed it. Not only did we enjoy the food, it was really great to get to know the history of the two neighborhoods. We are considering doing the Chinatown tour as well.

I was really glad that I tried out the food planet tour. My friends are not from the Chicago area and it was a great way to introduce them to a small part of the city through food and information about the areas we were walking through. I learned a lot and also went into different shops (spices and oils) that I would probably have not chosen to go into otherwise. Our guide was very knowledgeable, very aware of timing and taking breaks, getting water when needed. She also added extra information about the city areas and was very entertaining! A+++

We had a great time! We learned so many things about the restaurants and different foods, plus some of the history of Old Chicago. Our tour guide, Jessica, was the best! She was so knowledgeable, and enthusiastic, and just fun to be with! I would recommend this tour to anyone! In fact, I already have, and they are booking their tour for next month!
