The tour guide - Ariana - was EXCELLENT! Enthusiastic, informative, friendly. I really enjoyed visiting all the spots on this tour. My only disappointment was that there was no shopping, I really think you could incorporate shopping - just give really strict guidelines to the tour participants. I'm home now and really wish I had bought some olive oil and balsamic vineagar! Nex ttime. Thanks!

Our guide Ariana was delightful, with a wonderful turn of phrase and a good sense of humour. She also got the best out of everyone on the tour and there was good interchange amongst us. The establishments visited were great and the order for eating was well balanced. We loved the oil and vinegar shop but unfortunately couldn't take any home and shipping would be prohibitive, however we picked up some wonderful ideas. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone

This was a nice mix of food sampling, local lore and a personable guide. This tour was very well organized and planned out yet relaxed and informal. It will rank as one of your favorite holiday experiences.

Tour guide was very informative and personable. Food was delicious and a nice mix of styles. Touring the neighbourhood gave an upclose look at the beautiful homes and gave us a feel for Chicago very different from the touristy downtown. Highly recommend.

Delicious and off the beaten path fun.

A great way to see Chicago that is not on the tourist's path. The stops provided an excellent samples of food (plenty for all) and a good bit of information about the food. Our tour guide was great and provided a great deal of information about the history and architecture of the areas we walked. She was able to change up the information as the group needed. Well worth doing and a different way to see the city.

An enjoyable afternoon stroll with a variety of culinary experiences and information about the neighborhood history and architecture. A great start to a Chicago vacation.

Perfect weather, nice group of people and personable and knowledgeable tour guide, Kurt. The restaurants were great with large portions at each tasting spot provided. Accommodations were made for vegetarian participants (although at George's Hot Dogs that meant a hot dog with all the toppings but without the wiener). This is a great tour for exploring the Bucktown/Wicker Park area and trying out some of their best food spots!

The Food Tour was an amazing way to get a different Chicago experience. The places visited were varied and provided much insight into food as well as Chicago. Our tour guide Rebecca was fantastic. She was personable, engaging, knowledgeable and it was clearly evident that she loved her city!!! She engaged with all those on the tour and when one of the people on the tour was not felling well, she was prompt at getting her a cab!! GREAT WORK!! Each place we visited offered a good sampling of their products and food. Our highlight was the Spice House and the Oil shop. We highly recommend that people take this tour as it allows non residents the opportunity to see neighbourhoods just out of the city core. I truly got a sense of the city outside of the tourist traps!! When I return, I will definitely take the second tour offered by them!!

This is my fourth time trip to Chicago and always ventured in the shopping areas. It was basically the only area I got to see and appreciate. When this tour was to suggested to a friend that came on this trip, the four of us said yes immediately and are we ever glad we did! When we came home to Canada, we told everyone about it and we said that if and when we return it would be on our to do list. We liked the idea of seeing other parts of Chicago and learning a bit of history along the way.Our tour guide Arianna was awesome! She was very personable, enthusiastic and made it more enjoyable. I would strongly recommend it to anyone!

We all really enjoyed the tour and loved the fact that it wasn't in the "touristy" part of town; it really felt like we were hitting up some hidden, local joints that we otherwise would never have known about. All the food was delicious and the houses and other buildings we saw in between locations were absolutely beautiful. All the restaurants were also very accomodating the the nut allergy in our group which was very appreciated. Overall, we loved the tour and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Chicago.

My 21-year old daughter found this activity online, and we attended the food tasting tour together. It was a short walk from our hotel, and the tour covered a wide range of famous, yet charmingly cosy food outlets in the Gold Coast, Old Town & Lincoln Park areas. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the various food types, and kept us entertained during our walks with lots of "inside info" about the neighbourhoods we travelled during our leisurely stroll. The tour was the highlight of our trip to Chicago. We plan to do it every time we come back to the city, and would recommend it highly to anyone visiting the city. Two (or four in our case) emphatic thumbs up!!
