| I didn't know what to expect on the tour and was pleasantly surprised. Our group consisted of 12 people from all areas and combinations. Our guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable of the area. The tastings at the various shops were interesting and different. My favorites were the Oil Shop and the pizza. We did walk quite a distance, but I didn't seem to mind because the group talked and shared, as well as the guide, about the area. I would recommend this tour with great enthusiasm and may even take it again with my husband or sister. | ||||||

| Away from the usual tourist activities. It was great to explore other parts of the city. We used the recommendations for dinner one night (Adobe on Wells) and for lunch the next (the deli on the tour). We have enjoyed our olive oils and vinegar with greens for our last 2 meals. Very educational and fun. Not as much history as I was hoping with the walking through the neighborhoods but it was still fun to see the different architecture and personality of the areas. | ||||||

| My brother and his family were out from California, and my family is from Wisconsin -- we had 3 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 children under 9. It was a great time ... our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a history on Chicago architecture as well as information on our foods tasted. It was an awesome time!! | ||||||

| Kate, our guide was fantastic. We tasted our way through a jewish deli, tea shop, spice store, oil and vinegar specialty vendor, fudge maker, heart healthy chicago style pizza and ended at a chocolate lounge. Along the way Kate entertained us with stories about the local architecture and parks. This was an easy walk on a gorgeous day. I would love to see more of these types of tours that might include only local foods like the chicago style hot dog, chicago style pizza and other foods somewhat unique to Chicago. I wouldn't mind going on a tour of the ethnic neighborhoods as well. This was a terrific intro to the variety of foods available in a lovely area of Chicago. | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and Emily, our guide, was excellent. Our favorite was the Chicago Oil store. I would recommend adding a wine tasting or local brewery on the tour. | ||||||

I Had A Great Time

| I really had a great time. We did a lot of walking but it wasn't too much and the pace was good. I didn't feel rushed and had plenty of time to look at sights and look around the stores. The only minor thing that was a little bit of an issue is that I was planning on the tour only being from 11 - 2 and we ran 30 minutes past 2. I had another engagement at 3, and was worried that I wouldn't make it. That said, I wouldn't change anything about the tour it was definitely worth it. Next time I will plan on a bigger gap of time between activities. | ||||||

| This is an excellent way to see Lincoln Park and what it has to offer. You will need to walk, so wear comfortable shoes. Our tour guide was great. Would have liked to have been able to buy products on the tour, only draw back. 3 hours worth doing if you want to see Chicago by foot. | ||||||

| As a group of 5 friends from different parts of the country, we decided to take this food tour to see the real cultural part of Chicago. The tastings were wonderful on all aspects from the Chicago stuffed pizza to the tasting of the oils and spices. Of course, the chocolate tasting was a great ending to the tour. You could tell that each store owner was very knowledgeable of their craft. Our guide was very informative and just a fun person to lead the group. The set-up of the tour was just at the right pace; when to let us rest, when to give us food & drink, and when to take the restroom break. Greatly recommend this tour. Also recommend to take the tour at the beginning of your stay in Chicago - that way you can visit the individual places later in your stay! | ||||||

| The "Chicago Food Planet Tour" is a MUST for anyone interested in getting to know the city of Chicago, visiting or living there. Our tour guide was Kent and he was FANTASTIC! Not only do you get to sample plenty of specialty foods from one of a kind establishments, but you are also shown quite a few architectural buildings. Kent seemed very well versed on everything. I always try to travel through the back door and take the unbeaten path. This tour fit the bill. NO ONE will be disappointed as there is something for everyone. Don't miss out on one Chicago's best kept secrets, at least for now. | ||||||

| My daughter and I really enjoyed the tour as a part of our stay in Chicago. We enjoyed seeing the different neighborhoods as we probably would not have ventured off to them by ourselves. Kent, our guide, was very entertaining and provided a lot of historical and fun facts about each location. The food was great too - especially the pizza and chocolate. | ||||||

| This tour had it all. The group's guide was personable and knowledgable, the tastings varied and delicious (how can you go wrong with toffee, chocolate, and pizza!), and the neighborhoods' histories and architecture interesting. Be prepared though for a bit of a walk (20 to 25 minutes) before reaching last three tastings. Along the way, however, several stops highlighted interesting Chicago historical facts and buildings. Would highly recommend this whether an out-of-towner or Chicago native like my daughter who, though familiar with the neighborhoods, still learned a lot and discovered shops she'll definitely try again. | ||||||

| Put on your walking shoes. Wish we could have done a little shopping while at the stores verses walking back after the tour to make our purchases. Would recommend you go on this tour if you'll be in town for more than one day. Amtrak can be late and put you behind schedule and in turn you'll miss part of the tour. Also, staying in Chicago or being able to make your purchases durning the tour would allow you to rest after the tour and enjoy one of the local cafes or hit another part of the city before dinner. | ||||||
