Great walk through Chicago, along with tasty food

| I went on this tour on a beautiful Saturday in the first weekend of August. It really was a great combination of a peaceful walk through some interesting and unique Chicago neighborhoods, tasty food stops, and a wealth of information. The tour guide, Jennifer, was outstanding. She did a fantastic job of keeping the group moving, but we were never the slightest bit rushed. We had a lot of time at each stop to take in and enjoy our surroundings, and she had so much knowledge of the areas and places we stopped at. The food itself was very good, with a large variety of tastes experienced through the tour. All in all, I couldn't have been happier with this tour. | ||||||

| We had a great time. We saw a part of Chicago which we have driven through but not looked at closely. We were introduced to restaurant/stores which we would not otherwise have gone to. We will definitely return to some of the places we stopped at. It was an out of the ordinary experience. We would do it again and have already suggested it to others. | ||||||

| The walking architecture and food tour was the perfect thing to do. The weather was perfect and our guide, Nikki, did a fabulous job of informing us about Chicago history and foods. Getting into the neighborhoods and away from the hustle and bustle of the city and walking at a leisurely pace with lots of shade trees was simply ideal. There was plenty of food to sample and our small group of 15 was able to stay together and we were always able to hear what was said by our guide. I would recommend this tour to anyone that would like to do something just a little bit different. We even had some local people in our group who also added insight into some of the neighborhoods and homes. Very fun!!! | ||||||

| We have been on the neighborhood food tours & enjoy them so we thought we'd give this a try with company from out of town, since the other's book up so far in advance. They were so impressed. We really enjoyed walking the neighborhoods and getting the insights from the tour guide. We are very much looking forward to the bucktown tour that she mentioned will be starting up. Our guests from out of town have already recommended the tour to some of their friends. | ||||||

| Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and informative throughout the tour. The selections made for our group to visit were, all but one, local establishments. Our brother and sister-in-law from Florida and my husband and I from the suburbs all really enjoyed it. The long walk made us feel less guilty about the food we were eating too! I would recommend it to anyone who can walk and likes to eat. | ||||||

| This was a great experience and a great way to see where the locals go. The tour included neighborhood points of interest including architecture, who lived where, and which restaurants were worth returning to. The tour guide was informative, knowledgeable, and friendly. The pace was quite comfortable and the exercise kept the guilt of the food consumption off one's mind. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something other than (or in addition to) the obligatory Chicago sights. | ||||||

| We so enjoyed doing the walking tour because it gave us a taste of different neighborhoods and lots of history of each area. Our guide was most excellent. She had great personality, and was such a gem. In fact, we told her she reminded us of "Rachel Ray", I believe her name was Rebecca. I would recommend this tour to anyone who could walk and stand for approximately 3 hours of the 3-1/2 hour tour. My only complaint would be that we weren't able to purchase items at the time of the tour, but other than that, we were so glad we made the decision to participate in this tour. | ||||||

| Our group of seven was mothers and their daughters whose ages ranged from 26-60. We had a blast and absolutely loved the tour! We learned a lot about the city and found ourselves returning numerous times to the food establishments we visited and were recommended. Our guide was awesome too! She was tons of fun and very knowlegeable. I'd definitely recommend this tour to my friends or other relatives who didn't get to come this time. | ||||||

| We could not have asked for a better tour guide, Nikki, who was a great resource as well as friendly leader for our group. We had about 10 people which was just right for getting in and out of the various shops and restaurant that we visited. It was an eclectic selection of shops interspersed with a walk through the Gold Coast and Old Town neighborhoods. After the tour was over, we went back to some of the shops to purchase the great products. The food sampling was just enough to fill our stomachs and the walking was just enough in the heat of summer to not exhaust us. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to do something fun in Chicago. Even our 15 year-old daughter enjoyed herself! | ||||||

| It was a great tour with a great guide (Jennifer). One of the things that enticed me about the tour, was the walking part. I loved that we would taste and get out and about . (I'm a foodie, but love to incorporate excercise into anything I can. I loved that the three parts of the city were included. I would have never gone out of my way to see the different districts and they were all so interesting and lovely in their own ways. I was also impressed that Jennifer knew about the producst in each establisment, so we wouldn't have to disstrupt the establishment and could be in and out inconspicuously(sp), It was a great flow. So in a nutshell I was impressed (If you didn't noticed I used the word alot!) So thank you for offering such a different type of tour. It fit my needs perfectly! | ||||||

| We had a lot of fun on our recent visit to Chicago, but this was by far the best thing we did. If you decide to go and Jennifer is your tour guide you are in for a treat. She is awesome!! (I am sure their other guides are equally amazing, but since we had Jennifer as our guide she is the only one I can comment on.) Our group was very diverse which just added to our enjoyment. We met lots of great people both in our group and in the businesses we visited. I could go on and on, but I will say this. . .just do it. We loved loved loved our tour! | ||||||

| We found the tour interesting. There was too much chocolate places. I don't think the catering stop was worth it since we are very unlikely to use a catering place while visiting Chicago. I liked how we learned a little about old town, Lincoln Park, the Playboy old Mansion, Oz Park, and Gold Coast. It was very thoughtful for the group to wait for us since we were running late. Overall, I enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to others who are travelling to Chicago. | ||||||

| We did the 11:00 tour on Thurs. 7/31 with Emily as our guide. WOW-does she know her stuff and what an interesting, fun, vivacious person she is! We loved every stop. I was so impressed with the workers/owners of each place...to take the time to tell us what makes their place or product special. We learned so many interesting facts that we are still talking about and the products we went back to purchase are being totally enjoyed, esp. the tea and vinegar & oil. We loved hearing Emily talk about the history of Chicago and the 3 neighborhoods we visited and all the beautiful homes and parks! I highly recommend this walking tour for anyone who loves things off the beaten path and something that is very different than the normal touristy thing! | ||||||
