| Tad, our guide did a great job in keeping our interest with the sights along our trip from one location to another. The food tastings were a little sparse, but generally sufficient. The tour could have lasted another hour to give us opportunity to make purchases at the shops we stopped at. I would reccomend the tour to my friends and family. | ||||||

| All of the positive reviews that I read on site before I booked the tour are so true. It was a unique and interesting way to see parts of Chicago that are off Michigan Ave. We booked our tour on a Thursday. We ended up being the only two on the tour and it was so great to have the guide to ourselves! Our guide, Nikki, was so nice to spend three hours with. She really gave us a great tour. Every shop that we stopped in offered not only a delicious tasting but interesting information as well. We liked it so much and hope Chicago Foods will add more tours of other parts of the city. We loved the tour ! | ||||||

| Our tour was more than three hours of great entertainment. Knowledge of all the neighborhoods was supplied in detail by the guide. History of the area and af the various food establishmants was excellent. Lots of trivia was also part of the tour. It was well paced-our group are seniors but had no problems.I will certainly recommend this to anyone going to Chicago. | ||||||

| Our guide was absolutely wonderful. He obviously enjoyed what he was doing and that added to the adventure. It was a delightful look into areas and neighborhoods that I would otherwise never venture to when I am in town. When I visit Chicago later is year I will be sure to visit many of the locations we passed on the tour. | ||||||

| Excellent tour! My friend and I were skeptical before we arrived but once the tour started, Tad made it great! He was very informative and the tour isn't just about food, it's also about some of the history behind the neighbourhoods that we walked through! We were also introduced to a lot of neat shops and restaurants! All-in-all a great experience! Highly highly recommended! In fact, we already started recommending it to friends and family the second the tour ended!! | ||||||

| We scheduled this tour as the first thing we did upon arriving for a week in Chicago. Great choice since we were fed and entertained for over three hours without any one of us having to look at a map nor find a restaurant. During the tour we got aquainted with the area and had our list of restaurants to try. Happy start to any visit. Enjoy!! | ||||||

| We all really enjoyed this tour as it provided details of food AND the local landmarks. The guide, Shane was enthusiastic and fun. We did have an issue with a downpour, but everyone, including the tour guide made a wet and cold situation fun. Thanks for a great time. | ||||||

| My husband and I had never gone on a tour such as this before, and we really did have a good time. There is a lot of walking, so wear a comfortable pair of shoes. Be prepared for any type of weather. We had our umbrella handy which was a good thing since it did start to rain part way through the tour. Our tour guide Sean, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was a very good tour guide to have. He was well spoken and tried very hard to keep us on schedule. I wish we could have spent just a bit more time at each stop, but then the tour would have gone on forever. My husband and I wanted to purchase a few items at every stop but we never had the time. Unfortunately, we were on a bus tour that left the next day, so we were unable to get back to the various locations to purchase anything. All in all we had a very good time! We would highly recommend this tour to anyone. We had about 12 people in our group, all different ages, from different States and a few of us from Canada. Go for it! You'll learn something and have fun doing it! And ask for Sean! | ||||||

| Our guide Shane was quite informative and willing to answer questions. There were more than enough samples at all locations for our group and all were quite delicious!!!! I was surprised to sample thin crust rather than deep dish pizza, but the explanation given was satisfactory. There was excellent improvisation (garbage bags) provided to the group when we were in the middle of a huge downpour during our tour....and all shop owners were quite pleasant and accommodating. The only downside of going on the tour on a Sunday afternoon was that the majority of places we visited were closed by the end of the tour, so couldn't go back that same day. I would definitely recommend taking in this tour, as it really gives you more of the flavour of Chicago than just walking to Navy Pier or the Magnificent Mile. | ||||||

| We had a great time on the tour. Walked all the calories off! Would have enjoyed the foods in more of an order like appetizers first, then pizza, then sweets.. Tad was a wonderful guide and knew so much about the city. He was concerned with our safety, and comfort. I wish we could have had a few more in between stops to sample. Even one bite here and there along the way or a typed sheet from each of the stops would have been informative, even if they don't offer a sample. I was more concerned with the kinds of food and the heritage. We enjoyed our small group of 6 and visiting with them along the way. I wondered how far we walked that day...we went everywhere and we really enjoyed the quaint neighborhoods. I suggest for Ghirardella chocolate shop not to open the sample package of their chocolates...so on a hot day they won't leak out into you purse if you decide not to eat them at the beginning of the tour! We had attended the National Restaurant Show in Chicago and had sampled many various foods previously, so the walking and cultural part was the better part of the tour for us. | We completely enjoyed our tour with Shane. Came home and recommended this tour to friends and coworkers who travel to Chicago from time to time. It was nice to get off The Mile and the usual destinations to get a glimpse of the neighborhoods and day to day life. Highly recommended outting! | ||||||

| This was my second experience with the same tour; did it with local friends and Shane as host, last fall. This time our group included local daughter who took day off, 21 year old recent college grad, and our 2 adult friends from Traverse City, MI, their second visit to the city. ALL of us loved the easy informal get-to-know each other format and all the locations and historical information. the print-out of places we visited as well as nearby restaurants was most appreciated and I have used the sheet from last fall several times. I understand the time issues about "no shopping" but that is one of the things I really enjoyed this time since I had heard the tour. the hightlights were clearly the merchants but think the chocolate folks (ethel's) should have had a spokes person and told everyone another spot was along miracle mile. Their samples were delectible and merited more "chat" and easier to entice tasters to buy. the spice owner was fabulous and again a highlight. the coupons were appreciated and I forgot to use mine! The bread guy from last fall was great. How abouta local clothes designer visit? know it is non-food but think we could enjoy a little about the clothing scene around armitage. all in all it was a great way to learn about a part of the city that is very interesting. regards, sheri from TC. | ||||||
