| This was a wonderful way to get to know more about three Chicago neighborhoods. Each stop on the tour was a local food merchant with great product and food. Our guide was fun, knowledgeable about both food and neighborhood lore. It rained be we still had a great time! | ||||||

| My friend and I spent an enjoyable afternoon with a group of others who were similarly interested in food, culture and architecture off the beaten path. We stopped into 7 very different and unique stores along an interesting walking tour. Our guide, Shane, skillfully & humorously guided the group and informed us about the merchandise, history and architecture we encountered along the way. We received free samples (yum!) and coupons at each store. We enjoyed each others' company as we stepped away from the usual tourist bustle and venues. I wish I lived closer so I could enjoy the other tour offerings of Chicago Food Planet in the near future. This tour is a must-do event next time you visit the "windy" city that got a "do-over" on its urban planning. | ||||||

| The best hot chocolate and ice cream I have ever had. We went back for more ice cream! The walk through the not very pretty neighborhood and urine reaking dog park could have been left out. The houses were nothing to look at. I thought the organization of the tour and the guide was fantastic! | ||||||

Portable Microphone & Not Vegan for everyone

| We really enjoyed the Walking Food Tour through Bucktown/Wicker Park areas and would recommend it to others. Definitely recommend a portable microphone as we could hardly heard the guide with all the street noise and people noise in each establishment. One place even had loud music playing so we really could not hear her there. It seemed this tour was catered to the vegetarians entirely at each venue. We would have liked a little more variety since we are not vegans. Our favorites places were Hot Chocolate and ICream. The others were good but we had tried before except for the falafel. Our guide, Kerry, was very informative and did a good job. | ||||||

| My husband and I did the near north food tasting last year and we loved it so much we had to come back for the Wicker Park/Bucktown tour. We were not disappointed! We tasted foods and went to restaurants we never would have went in to if it wasn't for the tours. besides the tastings, you also get to walk through the neighborhoods and hear the history behind the buildings and homes. Jess, our guide, was fantastic providing us with great facts and information. The only critique I have to Chicago Food Planet is that they need a third installment of the tour! | ||||||

| This tour was excellent. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and the stops were both fun and interesting. We went back to 2 of the stops because we wanted to actually buy some spices and oils but would also return to a few more. I have lived in and around Chicago my whole life and still found out some new things. When in one of the stops with a large group you do feel like a tourist but it passes quickly. You need to check the weather on the day you go. Fortunately the weather was only cloudy with a few spinkles towards the end. It would have been a more difficult day if it would have rained but you need to dress for the weather. We still would have had fun. Great exercise too especially if you walk back to the start. | ||||||

| My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Near North Food Tasting Tour. It was well organized and gave us a nice sampling of places to re-visit on our next trip to Chicago. The portions we sampled at each stop were generous. No skimping whatsoever. While we had to keep to a schedule we did not feel rushed in any way. We actually wouldn't have minded a few more opportunities to sit for a few minutes. The success of our tour, in large part, goes to our tour guide, Jessie. Not only is she pretty; she is smart, articulate, nicely groomed, and well versed in food subject as well as the architecture in the areas we visited. She was a delight and is a real asset to the Chicago Food Planet. We can't wait to come again. | ||||||

| The tour was so awesome! Thank you so much for everything, we had such an amazing time. From the reuben to the toffee everything tasted amazing and I feel like I learned so much about food and Chicago. I truly love Chicago and I love it even more after spending 3 hours with one of your tour guides. You all have organized such a unique way to see the city and the fantastic food it has to offer. Thank you so much! | ||||||

Girls' Weekend Away

| Every year my five daughters and I do a "girls weekend away." We did one in Chicago last year and took in a lot of fun places and restaurants. This was a weekend away for me with just my youngest daughter (30 yrs. old) and I. We wanted to do something fun other than the usual shopping and things we had done before. I found out about this activity by searching online for "things to do in Chicago." We love trying new things and love to eat at unusual places. One of my grandsons is an architect in New York and we loved seeing homes and other buildings designed by one of his favorite architects - Frank Lloyd Wright., along with all the other interesting homes and buildings. This was everything we had hoped for and we can't wait to go back to spend time in Old Town again. The young woman who led the tour was very knowledgable and fun. We enjoyed her very much! | ||||||
