Great way to explore Chicago neighborhoods
Sat, Jul 26, 08   12:00 PM susan8230 Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
My group thoroughly enjoyed your tour! We loved the uniqueness of the shops visited, as well as the educational component with the neighborhoods. Very well planned out with drinks and restroom breaks. Our guide, Jennifer, was very very good and really seemed to enjoy her job. We have already recommended this activity to several friends, and would be very interested if you decide to offer another one in a different neighborhood, ie Little Italy or Greektown, or Wrigleyville?

The experience turned out better that we expected. The knowledgeable and friendly tour guide not only provided interesting information at each food stop, but also included history and facts about the neighborhoods we visited. We highly recommend this tour for locals as well as out of towners!

Great Group Activity

This was a great activity for a group of friends. We got some exercise, indulged in some food, were able to chat and catch up with friends along the way. Our guide, Jennifer, was friendly and knowledgeable about the area (this is the opinion of a local!). She never rushed us along and entertained us as we went. I'd love to do another tour like this in the future - whether it be in another city or a different one in Chicago.

Very Informative Culture & Food Tour!

We very much enjoyed our tour. Old Town was a special experience and we probably would have missed it had we not booked the tour. We are enjoying the gourmet items at home that we purchased on the tour (thanks for the Food Tour discount coupons).Unfortunately we had to cut our tour a bit short due to an earlier sprained ankle (the walk is about a mile and a half) very enjoyable. Would do the tour again next time in Chicago.

The Chicago Food Planet Food Tour was one of the most fun activities we have done in a long time, and I would highly recommend it to others looking for a delightful way to spend an afternoon getting to know Chicago better. Our guide Emily provided us with much entertaining and knowledgeble information about the geographic area, the buildings we passed, the history of the area, and the fun things to do in that area. In addition, the businesses/restaurants we stopped at were very accomodating and the "tastes" we had at each one were great. We will definitely go back to many of these places in the future.

This was a great experience for my husband and I because the places the tour took us we would have never gone into on our own -- especially the spice shop and the oil and vinegar shop. It was neat trying all the samples and it opened my eyes to new foods!

Really enjoyed the tour--it was informative, and showed us a side of Chicago we probably never would have seen otherwise. Each stop on the tour was unique. the tour went very smoothly at each stop as well. Very well organized. Great tour guide.

What a fantastic day, fantastic guide, and great info about the Chicago neighborhoods. Most visitors assume that the Magnificant Mile is all that Chicago has to offer, but this tour is so informative and eye opening to so many other areas. Great insider info and great food! Who knew!!!

Loved this tasty tour of Chicago -- I will recommend it to everyone I know who plans to visit the city. I think the fact that most of my tour was made up of locals is a testament to the quality and word-of-mouth popularity of the tour. Fabulous!

Excellent, enthusiastic tour guide with wonderful places to stop and see in parts of Chicago we had never been too. We had terrific weather the day we walked which helps. Lots of fun with delicious treats to eat, we were full when we finished.

We were visiting Chicago for the first time and took the tour the second day we arrived. We learned more from the tour about Chicago and the individual neighborhoods than from the two tour guides purchased before hand. We also enjoyed the foods on the tour as well as learning about various spices, oils, teas, etc. It was a lot of fun, entertaining and informative. My wife's favorite activity in Chicago (even over shopping)

Great opportunity to see neighborhood in Chicago

My husband and I enjoyed the tour. We also like to cook and the tour was informative about each tasting and the history of the city. Our guide was Emily and she was outstanding! I only wish we had time to purchase because we never made it back to the old part of town. I liked this tour because it was different and brought you in to another side of Chicago.

Great afternoon - wonderful!!!!

Our guide Emily was great. Very energetic and thoughtful. We come to Chicago a few times a year and typically visit our favorite places. This time we wanted to be the typical tourist. What a great way to see and learn about a few Chicago neighborhoods. Places we have driven by and never thought to stop at. The spice and oil shops were our favorites. And of course who could possibly turn down the 'to die for' Fudge shop. We highly recommend this tour. All the food was good and on a future trip we plan stop back and eat a meal. We have already recommended the tour to friends. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes!
