| This was truly one of the highlights of our trip. My wife and I are so happy to have booked this tour. Not only was the food great, Kent our guide was super and very engaging. The best part was getting outside of the Loop and being introduced to a cool neighborhood that we might not otherwise have explored. Highlights on the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour was Hot Chocolate (the restaurant) and iCream. We had such a good time on the tour that we went back to the neighborhood and ate at Feast (owned by the same woman who owns the Goddess and Grocer) on our last night. My wife and I ageed that the tour was one of the best parts of our trip | ||||||

| We all really enjoyed the experience provided to learn about the different neighborhoods and enjoy some good eats along the way. This is so a one of a kind way to experience all that the city has to offer. Thanks again, we'll be back! | ||||||

| We joined the tour at George's Hot Dog (not sure if I have the name right) and spent a great 3 hours with our group and our tour guide Ben. At first the price seemed a little high but this is more than a walking tour. We had a nice array of tasty treats, a tour of the neighbourhood including commercial and residential areas, a sampling of typical Chicago architecture (small/local scale as opposed to the grandeur of downtown) and small doses of history mixed into our walk. In the end we felt it was very worthwhile and a good value. The Chicago hot dog, the chocolate drink with marshmallow (rated no 1 by our group) the antipasto treat, the falafel, the pizza and the ice cream were all great stops along the way and gave us a "taste of Chicago" and the neighbourhood. The pace was great, our tour guide friendly and informative (and a cool dude at that) and the time flew by as we toured the area, taking in shops, restaurants, homes, parks etc. The only thing to be concerned about is making sure you know where you are going when you head out to meet the group. We came from downtown and while we had no problem, it took some planning on our part and we left a little extra time which turned out to be needed. If you are looking for something different, a break from the hustle and bustle of downtown, and want to learn more about Chicago, take this tour. We highly recommend this leisurely walk and if we get back to Chicago, we would take another Chicago Foods tour without hesitation. Thanks Ben! | ||||||

| This is a fantastic tour, the highlight of our trip as we were visiting from Tokyo, Japan. Really enjoyed the variety of shops included on the tour. It was very educational as well as tasty! Would have never had the chance to sample balsamic vinegars, olive oils and more! A must if you like food and want to learn more about Chicago. | ||||||

| What a wonderful way to stroll the streets of this great Chicago neighborhood. The tour is very well organized and you won't be disappointed with the food samplings... they range from authentic Chicago to so unique they're hard to imagine. We have a part time place in River North and know that area but are not very familiar with Bucktown and Wicker Park. This was perfect for us. We returned the same evening for a excellent dinner at Cafe Absinthe and bar hopping afterwards. We'll take the other tour in the near future. | ||||||

| My group of 5 all thouroughly enjoyed this activity. It was a nice way to finish our stay in chicago. We each had a different food tasting that we enjoyed. From the rueben sandwhich to the stuffed pizza it was all delicious. The only complaint my group had was the catering chocolate store. It would have been nice to get more variety from there. However, the entire tour was excellent and I highly recommend it. | ||||||

| My 3 friends from Philadelphia and I did the tour and this is hands-down one of the best tours of any kind that I've ever been on . The tour was informative, interesting, detailed, imaginative, full of great food and lots of fun! Not only do you learn about the wonderful food that they serve on the tour but you get the detailed story behind the establishment that makes it. On top of everything else, you also learn about the neighborhoods and some of the houses and their unique architecture. It is a great way to introduce you to the real Chicago outside of the typical tourist spots. You get a coupon book on the tour with offers for the places where we stopped as well as many of the local businesses in the neighborhood. Our tour guide (Jennifer) really made the tour special. She was enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable and very generous with the samples on the tour (which was very much appreciated). She was very interested in the tour participants as well and was quick to get to know everyone and make them feel like fast friends. I was quite sad when the tour was over but walked away having a fantastic experience all around. I can't say enough great things about this tour. I would recommend it to everyone! 10 out of 10!!!!!! | ||||||

| I thought I'd find it a little odd touring neighborhoods i'd lived in for years, and actually, I did! It was odd that my old neighborhoods could seem so new and have so many surprises both in food and architecture. I HIGHLY recommend this tour to all locals and challenge those who think they "know their neighborhoods" to not find tons of new found knowledge and favorite spots to eat and shop in their hood. As for our guide, Caroline, she couldn't have been better...she gave the tour an extra douse of fun and really had a lot teach us about all the shops/restaurants and neighborhoods we traveled through. Can't wait to take the Bucktown tour...another neighborhood "i know well". | ||||||
