| I was with someone who had lived in Wicker Park for a number of years, and she found out about places and history she had never known before. Tip: have a LIGHT breakfast and go on the tour a little hungry. The food is just the right amount to make you full, but not stuffed to the gills. Nice mix of stops, changing up tastes from hot dogs to sweets, to savory. We went back later to one of the stops to pick up dinner for that night. Highly recommended. Try to get Jess as your guide. | ||||||

| This is the perfect tour for locals and tourists. The tastings were delicious and the places are all "non-touristy" but give you a great taste of the neighborhood. I was stuffed by the end. The history of each place and the history of the neighborhood is very interesting as well. I am really excited to go back to the places I discovered on the tour. I highly recommend. | ||||||

| Jesse was so enthusiastic . . right from the start we knew we'd have a great time. What a great idea! One thought, though, is perhaps have the last stop going back towards the beginning of the tour. Food was great! Stops were a pleasant surprise. Spent more than I thought I would on vinegar and oil!! Thank you . . .will definitely try the Buck Town tour. | ||||||

Exploring Chicago's Many Neighborhood Treasures

| I am a life long Chicago resident and attended this tour with my boyfriend and two teenage children. The tour provided a variety of interesting topics: culinary, historic & architectural. Because of the variety the tour was never tiresome and kept everyone’s full attention. Of course the highlight of the tour was all the amazing treats we were able to indulge in. I must admit I was nervous that there would only be small samples served, but to my surprise that was not the case. Instead, most establishments served generous portions, so much so that we went home with leftovers because we were so full. The variety of cuisine covered many of Chicago’s many culinary delights from pizza to ice cream to a traditional Middle Eastern sandwich. We were able to experience recipes from a family that migrated to Chicago from Jordan as well as an award winning pastry chef who attended a local culinary school. Learning about the interesting stories of the owners of these popular establishments was a great contribution to the tour. In between the tastings we had a chance to explore both Wicker Park & Buck Town. While out stretching our legs we were able to learn about the history behind these popular Chicago neighborhoods & about some of the local architecture. The information provided was interesting and gave us a glimpse into how quickly a less desirable area can turn into the hippest place around. All the information provided was an interesting look into the history that made Chicago one of the best cities in the world. Last, but not least, was our tour guide Ben. He was a local Chicagoan who was extremely upbeat and knowledgeable. He provided us with his own local outlook on Chicago as well as answered all of our questions. He was extremely accommodating and positive. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, local or visitor. For visitors it provides a glimpse of a local Chicago neighborhood that may be overlooked within typical tourist attractions. It’s a laid back & relaxing tour that brings you deep into what Chicago is truly about, diversity blending together. For locals this tour offers a look into why Chicago is such an amazing city to live. I visited places that I wouldn’t normal go to, but will be certain to visit again now that I’ve experienced them first hand. My two children loved the tour so much they both suggested that we move to the area toured, and since that is not currently an option we will be traveling back to these areas again very soon via public trans. From all the great food to the hip little shops to the bustling intersections to the quiet tree lined this tour covered it all. | ||||||

| I can't say enough good things about this tour. It exceeded my expectations in every way. The tour was fun and informative. i would recommend it for a first-time visitor to the city or a long-time resident. It is a great way to see the neighborhoods that make up Chicago and find places that one may not see on one's own or using the usual tour books. Our guide made it fun. She definitely loved the city and was enthusiastic in sharing it with others. The tour is well-planned. It is a perfect length with a good mix of stops. I never felt overwhelmed by the length of the walk. I can't wait to go back and explore the places we saw at my leisure. | ||||||

| We have a condo in the Gold Coast but decided to be tourists in our own town. It was wonderful. The group was charming--children, singles, everyone had a great time-- the guide was wonderful, the food was delicious, the information was captivating. There are not enough words to describe how much we enjoyed ourselves. We would recommend this outing to any and everyone. | ||||||

| The Bucktown/Wicker Park Food Tasting/Cultural tour was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. The Tour Guide (Kent) was excellent. His knowledge of the neighborhoods, food and architecture made this a very enrichening experience. The food from all locations was also excellent. There was no one that was still hungry by the end. | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. You chose excellent places to visit. We thought ALL of the food was tasty. We especially enjoyed visiting Hot Chocolate. We thought the walking tour to homes was too long. We appreciated the list of other restaurants in the area and plan to go back to Hot Chocolate for sure and others also. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable! It was very interesting to learn about Wicker Park and Bucktown. Thank you. | ||||||

| This is a unique tour of the city. Although I live here and frequent some of the stops on the tour it was fun taking my family on this food tour and listening to some of Chicago's local history and look at the beautiful archetecture. The places on the tour are unique boutique shops with varity of food offerrings. | ||||||

| My group had a great time on the tour. However, you really only eat at the first and last stop. It would be great if there was a snack at the Spice House incorporating the spices and maybe some bread at the oil shop to try with the oil | ||||||

| First of all, she (suddenly I don't recall her name... sorry...) was very nice and kind. One of the top guide I ever met. (Worldwide) 1. I hope to see a few more restaurants b/w the pizza place and the chocolate catering shop. To develop this tour into the top level you need to associate with more top restaurants. Please don't afraid of increasing the ticket price, the customer should be willing to pay more money if it is worth it. 2. If you prepare any food samples for the oil shop and the spicy shop, that would be very nice. Since people really loved the oil shop, it would be perfect if there is any food with the balsamic/oil. Generally it was very good. I think it will be the best Chicago tour if you add above two factors into your original system. Thanks. | ||||||
