| all 6 in the group would do this again. most returned to many of the stores to shop. i think it would be a good idea to have a tour for kids. | ||||||

| I had pretty high expectation going into the tour and I'm happy to say that the actual tour was much better than my expectation. The tour gives good glimpse into different neighborhoods of Chicago and the foods were excellent. My only regret was not doing the tour at the beginning of my trip to Chicago. I learned about so many places I could have visited during my time there, so I recommend doing the tour early to give yourself enough time to visit these coold places on your own time. | ||||||

| The food and beverage tastings were great, but the real value is in the visits to the different neighborhoods. Feel like we got a great feel for Chicago by walking through different areas. Our guide, Nikki, was wonderful. In addition to knowing a lot about the food and beverages we sampled, she knew a lot of the history and architecture of the areas we toured. Lots of walking, but well worth it. We ended up going back to some of the places we visited to shop later in the day. | ||||||

| We go to Chicago each year with another couple for the Wright-Walk (Frank Lloyd Wright) weekend. We also like to program enjoyable side trips. When we checked your 3-hour walk around Old Chicago (and its borders), we thought the tasting/cultural tour would be fun. We LOVED it, in large part because Jennifer, our tour leader was delightful: knowlegeable, full of life and a really pleasant person! Each stop, whether at a Jewish Deli, a chocolate maker---or a balsamic vinegar/olive oil importer's shop was informative and a tasty treat! We will make several purchases from home (NY) on the shops' internet sites. We enjoyed this tour so much that we are going to check out other offerings, both where we live and other parts of the USA which we visit during the year. Thanks you people for providing us with such a good time! Warm regards, Bob Port Washington, NY | ||||||

| the stops were wonderful....group leader (Emily) was excellent. Good intereaction between group members. The stops along the way were very interesting. I would do another tour in a heart beat. Tour indicated that there would be a focus on food...our group kind of expected to sample signature items from restaurants...ie famous onion ring recipe of buffalo wings etc. Only real food was a potatoe pancake and Heart Healthy pizza slice....the rest would be classified as taste offerings. I definitely left hungry and would have eaten breakfast prior to the tour if food was not emphasized. When asked which tour I wanted to go on , there really wasn't enough information to make an informed decision. May want to list the key stops in each neighborhood to allow potential guests to better match their interests. Thanks for a very good look at a side of Chicago that I would not have visited. | ||||||

| I highly recommend the tour. The price isn't bad...if you think about it, it is only $10 per hour...and that is good for Chicago. The quality of the tour probably depends on your tour guide. We had a girl, Jennifer, who was very energetic and entertaining. The food was enough to keep you full for lunch, but I recommend you eat a snack before joining the group...you don't get to the filling part until later. I enjoyed the "non-restaruant" locations...they gave me great gift ideas for the future. | ||||||

| I bought the tickets for my twentysomething sons and their significant others for Christmas and they all said what a fantastic time they had. They were very impressed with the unique shops they toured and enjoyed learning about the neighborhoods they walked through. Being from the suburbs they would not have even known these shops existed and the wonderful samplings these fabulous shops offered put this tour over the top for them. They phoned me as soon as their tour ended quite excited and pleased, and were very impressed with their knowledgeable guide! They strongly recommend this tour to foodies of all ages! | ||||||

| My wife and I really enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide was personable, knowledgeable & enthusiastic. The shops were unique, but one of the chocolate shops could be eliminated. You should replace it with another shop where the group can get something of substance to eat, like the patato pancake & the pizza. People do expect a progressive eating experience and another type of shop with something of substance to eat would accomplish this. I have recommended the tour to several friends and will continue to do so. Very enjoyable day. Thanks. | ||||||

| My friend and I arrived in Chicago on a day long bus trip and we wanted to do something other than walk down the streets, bar hop and shop. I went on-line and discovered this tour. I would definitely recommended it to anyone who likes to walk and experience other adventures. We has a great tour guide (Nikki) who is a native of Chicago and provided a lot of insight with all the beautiful buildings and homes. Old Town is something that everyone who visits Chicago should experience to get ideas on what to do in the future or next day. The only slightly negative comment is that we were expecting more food as some of the reviews, comments said you wouldn't have to buy lunch - you would be full - so we did not eat. Don't get me wrong, we had tea and chocolates and some cheese with a piece of pizza at the end which was great but we could have eaten more since we thought we were getting enough to fill us up for lunch. You definitely will get a work out!! Try it! Just bring a few snacks! | ||||||

| I am originally from Chicago and I was on a date with my boyfriend who is new to the city. I wanted him to learn a little more about Chicago through food. I never thought that it would be a Chicago educational experience for me as well. Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and the food was wonderful! Although there is food involved, you get to know Chicago neighborhood history as well. By the end of the tour I was surprisingly full. | ||||||

| It was a great way to see Chicago. Not your typical sit in a bus and look at sites from afar. Our tour guide, Jennifer, was fun and informative. We walked into neighborhoods and parks that we would normally pass by. Learned very interesting information about buildings and businesses. We visited fabulous stores and restaurants out of the main stream of tourist attractions. The unique stores were small and quaint. They all had their specialties and we learned so much from each one of them. I just received my package from the Oil & Vinegar store. Yum! I am very excited about trying the new flavors. Next time you are in Chicago, put your walking shoes on and check it out. This is the only way to tour a city and find all the really cool places. Tourist traps watch out. | ||||||
