I went to North town tour with my friend who was visiting me for weekend. Him and I were from Seattle orginally and I recently moved in Chicago. We couldn't ask better than this. Our tour guide Nikki was great. She was full of positive energy and fun, made us feel totally comfortable. The shops we stopped by were amazing. Me and my friend had to come back next day for extra shopping. The tour provided us coupon as well, what a deal! I highly recommend anyone who from our of town or new in town like me. I definately will try buck town tour with my parents when they come visit.

Our guide Nikki was awesome. She knew everything about everywhere we went. Not as much food on the food tour as you'd think, but well worth it. Our favorite excursion while in Chicago.

We had a great walking tour on our visit to Chicago. Our guide Jessie was fun, energetic and enthusiastic, which was contagious. I loved the spice shop and the oil and vinegar shop. The stuffed pizza was to die for! If you consider yourself a foodie and enjoy hearing about Chicago while you wear off those calories you just consumed, I think you will love this tour.

The Bucktown/Wicker Park Food Tasting tour was fabulous. Kent, our guide, was very, very knowledgable about the area and also was very entertaining with thoughts and suggestions in what to see and do in the area. My family loved the entire tour and it was among the best things that we did in Chicago. The food tasting was delicious. I would highly recommend it to all my friends and would like to take the other food tasting tour when I come back to the city. Darlene

Best part of a great trip to Chicago

The food from all the restaurants was great; our tour guide (Kent) was knowledgeable and personable; the area was beautiful and interesting - in short, it was all good. We've been to Chicago several times but would never have explored this area of town if it hadn't been for this tour. We liked it so much we went back on our own a few days later and purchased more food to take home with us. Four of the six businesses on the tour were owned and operated by women and I liked being able to support young entrepreneurs, while enjoying great food too. The walking even helped offset the calories consumed! Great experience, I highly recommend it!

Had a great time on the tour. Jesse was our guide and she was awesome. Found both the culinary and architectural information excellent. Would definitely say it was worth doing. The only spot that I found that was just "OK" of the 7 we visited was the catering company (chocolate-catering). It was OK but lacked some of the interesting information as the other spots had. Well worth it!

My sister in law and I met in Chicago for a weekend mini vacation. (I am from Houston, she is from Phoenix). We had read about the tour on Trip Advisor and both thought it sounded like fun. We did the Near North Tour, and it was wonderful. I am a very picky eater, and loved everything we were given. I also do not like tea, but I was converted. Our guide, Jen, was knowledgeable, personable, and entertaining. The staff at each tasting was also friendly and helpful. As so many others have advised, take the tour early in your vacation because you will want to go back to buy. Strongly recommend and encourage. I can’t wait to go back to Chicago to do the Bucktown/Wickerpark tour. .

The tour was a lot of fun. It was a great way to learn about Chicago and to sample some really good food! We had a great guide who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It was unique to visit local vendors and helped us to learn more about the cultures of the neighborhoods. We learned more than we would have on a regular walking tour and would certainly recommend it to other people visiting Chicago.

Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Enjoyed seeing the neighborhoods and getting beyond the main streets. The residential architecture is very interesting. The restaurants we visited were very good and the samples were large. We appreciated learning about other restaurants in the area and we, in fact, went back and had a delicious dinner at Le Buchon. I would recommend this to any Chicago visitor. Come with a big appetite.

This was an incredible tour! The guide, Nikki, was so informative! I was introduced to new foods and learned a great deal along the way. It was interesting exploring three very distinctive Chicago neighborhoods--something I would not have likely experienced on my own. I would suggest, though, that there's too long a gap between the last stop and second-to-last-stop. Overall, this was a great experience! I can't wait to come back to the city and take the other tour offered!

Interesting and fun way to see part of Chicago

We enjoyed the tour; however, the architectural aspects were more interesting than the food samplings. We were disappointed in three of the stops two of which aways offer free tasting samples anyways(the oil & vinegar shop, and the tea shop). The 2 small cubes of cheese and cracker with hummus at the Catering Chocolate were not impressive either. Many in our group felt that stop was dull and were expecting an exciting tasting of something more than a sample you could get at your local grocery deli counter. We were most impressed by the Spice House tour and informational talk, but a small complimentary sample of cinnamon, pepper, or some other spice would have been great. I guess I have been on similar " foodie" tours which were much more generous on the tastings and variety. I would not suggest taking any stops off, but possibly add one or two more like the Old Jerusalem restaurant or Sushi cafe which we passed by (several of us were curious about those) which would only add about 10 minutes more, but greatly enhance the perceived value of the tour. Thanks
