| It was a lot of fun and very informative. My friend and I enjoyed hearing about the history of the neighborhoods, the architecture and the background of the individual shops and owners as we walked to each location. Our guide was personable and knowledgeable and the food was delicious. We loved learning about tea, spices, oils, vinegars and chocolate while eating!! It was a nicely paced tour and a nice variety of foods/beverages. I would highly recommend this tour as a different way to experience Chicago. The residential neighborhoods we explored are very different from the hectic downtown area..... | ||||||

| My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Near North Food Tasting Tour. It was well organized and gave us a nice sampling of places to re-visit on our next trip to Chicago. The portions we sampled at each stop were generous. No skimping whatsoever. While we had to keep to a schedule we did not feel rushed in any way. We actually wouldn't have minded a few more opportunities to sit for a few minutes. The success of our tour, in large part, goes to our tour guide, Jessie. Not only is she pretty; she is smart, articulate, nicely groomed, and well versed in food subject as well as the architecture in the areas we visited. She was a delight and is a real asset to the Chicago Food Planet. We can't wait to come again. | ||||||

| Shane your concept for this company is great! You have found 7 great places to take your tourists to really show them some Chicago culture, history, and yummy food and drinks!!! I would order some of the items on the tour through your very helpful tour sheet (including websites and addresses). The only PROBLEM I found was that there was NO time for a little shopping at the selected locations. It was like bringing a kid into a toy store and showing them all the great toys, but you couldn't buy anything (during the tour). I did feel rushed when you let me buy something, but at least I tried. My suggestion is that you include an extra 5 minutes at each venue so that people may have the option to purchase the great products they are seeing. The chances are that most people do not know the streets of Chicago as well as you do and don't have the time or the chance to get back to those locations on their short stays!! Just a thought! Either way, it was great!!!! ENJOY YOUR SUCCESS! | ||||||

| One suggestion would be to add an additional 30 minutes to tour so that participants could buy items from proprietors - I took the tour on a weekday, the stores were not busy so this might have worked - personally, I had jam packed days so was unable to go back to the stores and I suspect others were in the same position - being able to purchase right then and there would have made the tour perfect for me | ||||||

| The guide was great. She was well informed and responsive to questions. I've lived in the city for about a year and learned some new things about my neighborhood. I like history so personally I like more cultural and historical details, but the tour of the Gold Coast-Old Town neighborhoods was a nice introduction for my friend who's from out of town. | ||||||

| The food tour was so much fun and the food was so good. Our guide Nikki was really good to explain the different food samples and gave us great information on the neighborhood while we were walking. I recommend it to everyone visiting Chicago. | ||||||

| I got a group of 16 ladies together to celebrate my sister's birthday in early October. None of us had ever done this tour but I had heard great things about it from a friend. Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, the day was picture perfect as far as the weather goes, and it was a unique experience. The shops we visited were places that we may never have known about unless we were on this tour, we learned some interesting tidbits about a couple of different areas in the city and there was plenty of time for chatting amongst friends as we walked between destinations. A highly successful event and a couple of the ladies said they would do it again with different friend groups. Our ages ranged from 20 years old to almost 60 and everyone enjoyed it. | ||||||

| My adult daughter and I went to Chicago to visit my son who recently moved there. The three of us took the tour and I have to say, we ALL enjoyed it. The guide not only took us to the specified stops, but discussed changes in the history of Chicago and explained much of the architecture on the route. SO much better than a bus tour! | ||||||

Disappointed in Food Selections

| I enjoyed the tour in as much as the guide was knowledgeable and very pleasant and the neighborhoods visited were interesting. The tour group itself was friendly and enjoyable. I was a little disappointed in the food selections. I had hoped to get more of a feel of the cuisine of Chicago instead of spices, oils and vinegars and candy. The potato cake at the beginning was greasy (not a good choice) and the pizza at the end was cold and very dry; I think they could have made a better choice. | ||||||

| My husband, myself and my 16 year old son really enjoyed this tour. It offered a great variety in the different stops (tastings) we made and we found it enjoyable and interesting as well. It was a beautiful day so walking around Chicago was also a pleasure. We loved seeing the different neighborhoods of Chicago. It was very nice that we got to sit down at Bacino's Pizza to enjoy the pizza and rest a bit! Our tour guide (Emily) was very sweet and informative. The only negative comment I have is the last stop - Ethel's Chocolate Shop - I thought they could have offered a bit more than two tiny pieces of chocolate - perhaps a small cup of hot chocolate as well would have been nicer. Other than that, nothing negative to say at all! Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Chicago! | ||||||

| We so enjoyed doing the walking tour because it gave us a taste of different neighborhoods and lots of history of each area. Our guide was most excellent. She had great personality, and was such a gem. In fact, we told her she reminded us of "Rachel Ray", I believe her name was Rebecca. I would recommend this tour to anyone who could walk and stand for approximately 3 hours of the 3-1/2 hour tour. My only complaint would be that we weren't able to purchase items at the time of the tour, but other than that, we were so glad we made the decision to participate in this tour. | ||||||

| We are a group of women that travel together once a year. We love chocolate. Both the food and distance were traveled were perfect. We got to see a part of Chicago we probably would of never seen. We could not of asked for a better tour guide. She made everyone feel very comfortable. And she was full of information. Some of the women really don't walk to much and for them it was just perfect. Plus we learned alot about spices and oil and tea. I am the one that booked it and they gave me a gold star for the day. Sometimes it's hard to find things for us today that everybody can enjoy. I would highly recomend this tour. Sue Niebur Minnesota Traveler | ||||||

| Another side of Chicago not to be missed! A tour that lets you discover some great places to eat with enough food served that your husband and teenagers won't mind coming along. Interesting architecture too! Friendly and informative guide. | ||||||

| This was a great tour for me and well worth the cost. I am a food lover and knew I would have time to spare while my husband was at a conference. Directions to and from the tour were perfect. I didn't have any unanswered questions prior to or after the tour. I was glad I wore good walking shoes as directed! Our tour guide was very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I learned many interesting things about the various Chicago neighborhoods and greatly enjoyed the tastings. It wasn't too much or too little. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to go off the beaten path and experience a taste of life in Chicage. | ||||||
