Nikki was a fantastic tour guide, pointing out all the interesting architecture on the walk, answering questions, and giving insight into the Chicago food scene. We never felt rushed, even though I'm sure we were on a schedule. She maintained her enthusiasm, even as the rain continued to pick up and everyone got soaked. We had a great time and would consider one of these tours again when we are in Chicago.

participants should be able to buy items on the tour as it is sometimes not possibble to return to the shops in one's own time due to time constraints, etc

We had a great time...our tour guide Kent was a lot of fun. It was raining the whole time we were walking, but it was still definitely worth it. Highlights were the olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting and the scrumptious stuffed pizza at the end.

Wonderful way to see Chicago and to taste different types of food. We had a party of six, five of us were from out of town and one was a local and we all enjoyed ourselves very much. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

We really enjoyed the tour and our guide. She was fun and kept it interesting. We were not able to get back to the oil store before it closed ( stopped off at a pub), but they did unlock the doors at the spice shop and let us shop since Monday was a holiday and we were leaving before they would re-open. We went back to the deli the next day after we tasted the potato cakes on the tour. The only thing I wished to be different was the pizza, I think a good greasy sausage and pepperoni would have been better than the healthy spinach...=) We have come back to Indiana and told everyone about the tour and several of our friends are interested next time they visit Chicago.

I enjoyed the tour and the information. Our tour guide, while knowlegeable, has poor questioning skills and acted much like an elementary teacher. I'm confident she has no idea that she sets people up for never being able to answer correctly or in other instances, asks such obvious questions as to be condescending. ("Can you guess what language that might be?") The stops themselves were interesting. It was quite a long walk(4hrs), but I saw sights I would not have otherwise. I would recommend the tour, but not our guide.

The tour provided much more than expected. We thought it was a tasting, but it also included architectural highlights of the areas. I lived in the area covered for several years and never went to some of the places on the tour. The three hours flew by.

I loved the tour. I am a huge fan of Chicago and loved the informative tour of different shops to visit, the history of the area and the places I would never have visited if not on this tour. I highly recommend this tour to everyone. A pub tour was suggested by our group, a restaurant tour and a tour of the historic houses would also be great. Thanks for a great time.

The Chicago Food Planet tour was great. We saw the skyscraper part of the city on the Historical boat tour, but this showed us the residential, day-to-day Chicago we would not have experienced. The cultural aspect of the neighborhoods, foods, and people was well received. The establishments that we visited were all local and colorful. We'd definately recommend this to others, and will return to purchase singularly special Chicago foodie treats!

Kate our guide was very good, other then the places and their food, knew alot bout the history of Chicago and its architecture. She'll try and get to know you during the walk and see what you think of Chicago, and very helpful on questions. Food was great and enough for the afternoon, if ur the hungry type probably get a bite to eat and bring some water. We had a perfect day for it when we went so it was excellent overall. Ive recommended it to my friends

Our group of seven was mothers and their daughters whose ages ranged from 26-60. We had a blast and absolutely loved the tour! We learned a lot about the city and found ourselves returning numerous times to the food establishments we visited and were recommended. Our guide was awesome too! She was tons of fun and very knowlegeable. I'd definitely recommend this tour to my friends or other relatives who didn't get to come this time.

We could not have asked for a better tour guide, Nikki, who was a great resource as well as friendly leader for our group. We had about 10 people which was just right for getting in and out of the various shops and restaurant that we visited. It was an eclectic selection of shops interspersed with a walk through the Gold Coast and Old Town neighborhoods. After the tour was over, we went back to some of the shops to purchase the great products. The food sampling was just enough to fill our stomachs and the walking was just enough in the heat of summer to not exhaust us. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to do something fun in Chicago. Even our 15 year-old daughter enjoyed herself!

It was a great tour with a great guide (Jennifer). One of the things that enticed me about the tour, was the walking part. I loved that we would taste and get out and about . (I'm a foodie, but love to incorporate excercise into anything I can. I loved that the three parts of the city were included. I would have never gone out of my way to see the different districts and they were all so interesting and lovely in their own ways. I was also impressed that Jennifer knew about the producst in each establisment, so we wouldn't have to disstrupt the establishment and could be in and out inconspicuously(sp), It was a great flow. So in a nutshell I was impressed (If you didn't noticed I used the word alot!) So thank you for offering such a different type of tour. It fit my needs perfectly!
