Loved everything about the trip. Tour guide was excellent and very friendly.
Thinking that the Goddess & Grocer could've selected a better tasting..all the other tastings were so good that veggies w/ goat cheese wasn't that exciting. But really, otherwise, the tour was amazing. |

I can't say enough wonderful things about this tour located a short cab ride away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Bucktown / Wicker Park is a lovely area and our guide, Kent, did a fantastic job providing us with history of the area and providing us with information about the restaurants and their awards. We visited 6 different restaurants and sampled their specialities - a delicious Chicago-style hotdog, the BEST iced hot chocolate & homemade marshmallow I've EVER had, yummy veggie salad, a slice of mouth-watering pizza & a sample of their signature brew, a tasty falafal and the most unique ice cream you will ever try. Lots to eat. You won't come home hungry! If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, I would highly recommend this tour. |

This tour far exceeded our expectations! The food is more than ample and absolutely delicious! At each location, we learned how the business got started and some interesting facts about how the food is prepared and served. We also learned alot about the diffferent types of architecture in the Bucktown and Wicker Park neighborhoods as well as some of their history. The walking pace was easy to keep up with and even our three teenagers were engaged in what the tour guide had to say! We enjoyed it so much, we booked the Near North tour. |

Our tour of Bucktown/Wicker Park was great, from beginning to end. It's a tall order keeping kids ages 18, 15 and 13 entertained, but our guide Carrie managed the feat quite admirably. We loved the restaurants and shops, and went back afterwards to eat at quite a few of them. Plus it was great to discover some new shopping areas, not to mention all sorts of interesting architectural and historical facts. We can't wait to return and take your Chinatown tour next. |

We had Adam as our tour guide and he was really fun. The walk was really enjoyable and anyone could do it without being stressed. The places visited were really delicious and very interesting. We all learned a lot about items that we really didn't think we had an interest in but when we went into the places and learned about the history and the interesting facts behind them, we all really enjoyed them. We went back to three of the stores to purchase the oils and vinegars, the teas and spices which would not have been anything that I thought would have been on my list of take home items from Chicago. I highly recommend this tour. |

This was my fav activity on the trip. Heather was a knowledgable and delightful tour guide and the group size was just right. There were children on our tour, and they were no problem, but I am not sure how much they could've enjoyed this. As a parent of 4, I would say this is for mid-teens and up. All in all it was very enjoyable. I appreciated the coupons for the various shops we toured and went back to four of them and used the coupons. My fav was probably the Fudge Pot ( delicious butter toffee) and the Old Town Oil Shop. I was really, really pleasantly surprised to enjoy the Spice House and the tea place as well. The education on tea was really a bonus! Thanks for a great tour, Chicago Food Planet! I'm going to do your other tour next time. |

I've enjoyed Chicago Food Planets other tours (Near North & Bucktown/Wicker Park) and this was my first opportunity to experience Chinatown. Jess, our tour guide, did a great job of explaining the culture and food of the various provinces of China. I'm looking forward to the next tour that they develop. |

Our host, Jess, was polished, knowledgeable and passionate about food. She was also friendly and conversant, and that all makes for a great combination on a tour like this. The restaurant stops were well-picked and the food samples were plentiful to the point that we were stuffed by the time we were done! The stops at the tea shop, the oil shop and the spice shop made the whole thing feel like two tours in one. A great memory for all of us, well worth the time and money. |

Its a food tour but we enjoyed walking around the neighborhoods to each destination. We are ultra a bit snobish foodies so not that impressed on the food side. If you are not a foodie you will be mesmerized. Seriously a very good host and a great time. We will take another tour in the future. |

the bathrooms at the George's hotdog place was so revolting I almost didn't take the tour.
clearly they DO NOT clean the bathroom EVER
the pizza was a COMPLETE disappointment- tasteless and not Chicago style
if on a Chicago food tour and you can not provide Chicago style pizza, you should eliminate pizza from the offering
the tour was well run, the tour guide was knowledgeable and interesting
the food was all good (expect pizza)
the tour stops were all good (expect the cleanliness of Georges)
the tour was the right length and interesting |
