| Having grown up in Chicago, I brought my wife to see the city. This tour was a great time, our guide Kate was terrific, and of course, the food....wonderful. I would highly recommend this tour if you like fun and historic Chicago. | ||||||

| We had a great time on the food tour. Not only did we get to sample a wide range of food and beverages of the local fare, but we were given a brief history of the area and also walked through neighborhoods to learn of how Bucktown and Wicker Park came to be the cultrual melting pots they are today. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who's visiting or a resident of the area. | ||||||

| Travelling from Scotland but not strangers to Chicago we were keen to experience a new part of town and learn that American food is not all McDonalds, BBQs and Budweiser. This was premised upon us previously doing the same Foodies tour a few years ago in Grenwich Villiage, New York and falling in love with the area, the people and the food... could this Chicago tour even touch our expectations????? In summary, this tour was delivered by an enthusiastic local foodie who was also an incomer to Chicago, he clearly loved his new city and in particular the part of town he lived...Bucktown and Wicker Park. We had nearly 3 hours of walking in the sun learning about the area, its history and the arts that surround it. We had 6 food tastings which does not sound much but if I explain each was a full course of a meal the pace of the tour slows slightly towards the end. Cold 'Hot' Chocolate, Chicago style hot dogs, ice cream made as you watch, pizza without tomato sauce (mmmm....), local pump house beers and organic rizotto/greek salad surely filled each and every one of us on the tour. So back to expectations, what can I say.... Grenwich it was nice visiting you, but our heart and taste buds now lie west of your location with our new favourite American eating zone... Bucktown and Wicker Park. This tour is a must to anyone from or just visiting Chicago, who knows we may see us on it the next time we are in town! Thanks for the experience, Brian and Patsy Glasgow, Scotland | ||||||

| Fourth trip to Chicago from Canada for my wife and I... so decided to try the tour. Very informative with not a lot of walking but enough to fill the three hour tour. Learned a little about Wicker Park and Bucktown history and taste teated shops that have been around since the 40's to shops (i Cream) that are brand new. Highly reccomend the iCream shop. All round a good afternoon with lots of time left over to shop. Excellent tour guide...knew her stuff! | ||||||

| The awesome weather sure was helpful, but this great tour does not need further enhancement. Something for any tastebud, information on the neighborhoods, all questions answered and sufficient time at any station, all in a compact package, topped by a great guide and a really interesting group. | ||||||

| This was a very pleasant and informative tour. The seven food tasting stops had a good variety. We sampled: a latka, tea, fudge, cheese and cracker spread, oils and vinegars, spices, and, at the final stop, an amazingly delicious piece of pizza. The group consensus was that the oil and vinegar sampling was the best. You could keep sampling from about 10 balsamic vinegars aged up to 18 years and from about 10 extra virgin olive oils, mixing them yourself in a little cup and then sampling. At each sampling stop there was a lot of interesting and relevant information about the specialty food. Our guide, Jennifer, was very well informed about the architecture and history of the neighbourhoods we covered. Her enthusiasm and obvious interest herself in what she was showing us was infectious. She was sensitive to individual needs and interests of the tour participants. My only negative comment: the tour was overpriced, considering that there were 18 people in the group and the food samples were generally very small, and that the guide received gratuities. | ||||||

| I was very happy with the tour, we went to some interesting shops where we could try out different things. I learned a lot about the architecture too and the history of the neighbourhoods we walked through. I liked that there was a large amount of walking, it allowed us to appreciate the houses and it was good exercise. The tour guide (Ariana) was very knowledgable and excellent, and I liked how she added her personal spin to things. Very good tour, highly recommend. | ||||||

| Jenn was our guide, and was well versed in the foods/businesses, and also the city history, which was a big plus for a first-time visitor to Chicago. Her personality and engagement with the group was at least 50% of the reason why we would enthusiastically recommend the tour. The only surprise, as a tourist, was that there was no meat/sausage stop on the tour. I would have figured that to be a staple of the Chicago food tour. That said, all the stops on the tour were fantastic. Thanks and we'll make sure to recommend this to others visting Chicago! | ||||||

| The tour was better than expected. It was nice to be out of downtown Chicago for a day and experience some local culture. The Bucktown/Wicker Park area has a lot of charm and the history of the area is quite interesting. The length of the tour is perfect and takes you to places you might not otherwise go when visiting Chicago. Our tour guide Kent was great too, he made the tour interesting and exciting. Having lived in the area, you knew you were getting some first hand knowledge from a local and not some tourguide that picked up his information from a company handbook. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to fill up a day with a fun activity. | ||||||

| The idea of mixing classical tourist tour with food tasting is a good idea. But the historic/architecture explanations were quite poor, and the tasting (in particular the pizza at the end) not really fantastic. | ||||||

| I had been to Chicago many times over the years for business and really didn't like the town, becuase I went to typical business/trade show activities/locations. This really helped me see the side of Chicago everyone loves. The larger food portions were at the end of the tour, and I think it would have been better at the start. | ||||||

| This was a very enjoyable 3 hours walking through some great areas of Chicago. The combination of stops were great and we lookforward to taking another trip and also returning to some of the stores that we stopped at. | ||||||
