| I took this tour with a group of work colleagues (3 women and 1 male spouse) while we were in Chicago for a conference. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It provided some physical activity, some food, some history and factual information--yet not too much of any one of them. The tastings were well timed as far as washroom breaks and food intake mixed with walking and stopping to see points of historical/cultural or architectural interest. The tour started and ended on time. Our guide was very enthusiastic (almost over the top), friendly, knowledgable and able to manage the group. I would have liked the group to be a bit smaller in number in order to better fit into some of the smaller shops that we visited but it was managable. I also went back to 4/7 shops a few days later to purchase products as did another member of our group. Overall I would heartily recommend the tour. I had taken the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour 2 days prior to the North Town one and would also recommend that tour as it was equally well done. | ||||||

| We are a group of four women who have met in Chicago the past two years to shop, relax and eat. We were referred to this tour and decided to include it in our plans for Sunday before we flew home. It was very enjoyable. Our guide, Ariana, was charming and had so much information. We all thoroughly enjoyed the choices of places to stop and sample. It was suprising how much we learned! In fact, for our trip next year we plan to come back to the shops we visited so we can spend more time. Thanks! | ||||||

| Instead of the traditional (BBB) Baseball game, Bowling or Booze outing, our department thought this might be fun...AND IT WAS! What fun it was to walk through the neighborhoods of Chicago while stopping to meet and experience some great stores, food and people? Rebecca was a wonderful host and kept us amused and informed about the architecture and neighborhoods we passed. I can only add what a great bonding experience it was and my people are still talking about it and planning on doing this again next year... Thanks for a great outing! | ||||||

| We chose this tour on a whim after seeing an ad on the internet and it turned out to be a really good decision. Kent, our guide, took us to out-of-the way spots where we were able to sample a variety of regional foods. My 13-year old granddaughter had a great time and actually ate and enjoyed foods that we could never get her to touch at home! By the way, she ranked it as "almost as good as the Harry Potter exhibition" - a pretty good rating from someone her age!. Kent is also extremely knowledgeable about local history which made our walk through the neighborhood educational as well as delicious. This was a fun tour and we would definitely consider it again next time we're in Chicago. | ||||||

| We loved every step of our tour! Kate was knowledgeable and interesting. A nice variety of places to visit and taste. The time flew by and we hardly recognized we had walked so far! We would hightly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun thing to do in Chicago. | ||||||

| We are so glad that we took this tour. It was the highlight of our trip! Our guide was energetic, knowledgeable and personable. She conveyed much interesting and fun information about our culinary destinations and the various cultural points of interest along the way. Definitely a great way to learn about Chicago. It was like watching a show from the Food Network! We are recommending this tour to all of our family and friends. | ||||||

| It rained during most of the tour, and all 17 of us had umbrellas! Didn't detract from the tour at all. Beautiful neighborhoods,interesting history and fun tastings, maybe could have been made a couple more stops?? Or allow 5 more minutes for shopping, especially for out-of-towners? | ||||||

| When I first signed up to take this tour, I thought that it would be something different for my husband and myself to do while we were visiting the city for the weekend. When I first looked at the list of places that we would be visiting I knew that there were places that I would definately like, for example the tea and chocolate shops, you can't go wrong there. I also thought that there would be places that my husband wouldn't enjoy to much because really why would he want to go to a spice shop or a oil and vinegar shop, he's not much of a cook, but I knew he agreed to go for me. But low and behold as we started our tour, it was a perfect day. Our guide, Kate, was very funny and knowledgable. The entire tour is probably some of the most beautiful parts of the city. Every shop that we went into just got better and better. The funny part is the two shops that were my husband and my favorite were infact the spice and oil and vinegar shops. Walking up to the spice shop you could just smell all the spices, it was wonderful! At every shop that we went to the store owners and clerks working were all very nice and helpful. I had a wonderful time and my husband enjoyed it just as much as I did, which really makes me happy. We went back to a couple of the stores afterward and did some early christmas shopping too. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to experience a little of what Chicago has to offer, I had a great time, got some great pictures and now have new places to get some valuable cooking supplies. I am so glad I took the chance and decided to go on this tour. Rain or shine it is worth it. | ||||||

| I bought the tickets for my twentysomething sons and their significant others for Christmas and they all said what a fantastic time they had. They were very impressed with the unique shops they toured and enjoyed learning about the neighborhoods they walked through. Being from the suburbs they would not have even known these shops existed and the wonderful samplings these fabulous shops offered put this tour over the top for them. They phoned me as soon as their tour ended quite excited and pleased, and were very impressed with their knowledgeable guide! They strongly recommend this tour to foodies of all ages! | ||||||

| My friend and I arrived in Chicago on a day long bus trip and we wanted to do something other than walk down the streets, bar hop and shop. I went on-line and discovered this tour. I would definitely recommended it to anyone who likes to walk and experience other adventures. We has a great tour guide (Nikki) who is a native of Chicago and provided a lot of insight with all the beautiful buildings and homes. Old Town is something that everyone who visits Chicago should experience to get ideas on what to do in the future or next day. The only slightly negative comment is that we were expecting more food as some of the reviews, comments said you wouldn't have to buy lunch - you would be full - so we did not eat. Don't get me wrong, we had tea and chocolates and some cheese with a piece of pizza at the end which was great but we could have eaten more since we thought we were getting enough to fill us up for lunch. You definitely will get a work out!! Try it! Just bring a few snacks! | ||||||

| We had a great time. We enjoyed seeing new (to us) neighborhoods and tasting and learning! One tiny improvement could be made: we would have prefered more unique/interesting cheese sampling at Catering - Chocolate. While the imberico and the provolone were tasty, we would have prefered something a little less "pedestrian" from the cheese case. On the other hand, the samplings at Old Town Oil compensated. Overall, the tour was a nice time and we'd recommend it to others. | ||||||

| I really enjoyed the tour. The guide was very knowledgable of the area and added a lot of additional suggestions for dining in the city. She was enthusiastic about the restaurants we visited and knew their history. | ||||||
