I really enjoyed the tour. I will give a 95.
The 5 will be given if we could have some time to do the purchase. I understand that time is limited. But some people, for my group per say, might not have time to go back to the food stores/ restaurants because we have another plan after the food tour.
But overall, it is a good eating and learning experience that I will recommend to all my friends! :) |

We recently had the opportunity to do both of the Chicago tours during the week of Thanksgiving 2009. My husband and I both felt the tours were outstanding. Each of the guides were extremely friendly and we found the tours educational and entertaining. The food was great and we would recommend either or both of the tours without hesitation. |

Came from L.A. with my recent college graduate son to see a Bears game, and this tour ended up being the highlight of the trip. Our fantastic tour guide, Nikki, only had a group of 4 to contend with. This made for a great time for everyone. We really got a chance to receive and share information with each other about the wonderful town and food we were sampling. I can't really name a favorite tour stop because they all were special in their own way. I know my son would agree. We ultimately made purchases at the spice, oil, and fudge shops. Looking forward to experiencing the Bucktown/Wicker Park Food Tasting & Cultural Tour on our next visit.

A wonderful way to learn more about north Chicago. Each place we visited was unique. The rueben sandwich to start out was delicious. I loved the oil & vinegar store. The toffee was so good. The plate was passed around 3 times. The Spice House was one of a kind. Our tour guide Jen was great. She was full of information & kept us moving. When we were finished we went back to make purchases. I would recommend it to anyone who loves food & history. |

The stops where there was substantial information (e.g. tea, spices, oil) were the most interesting. walking pace was a little brisk. enthusiastic and knowledgeable presenter. Wish we could do the other tour too (not offered when we were available). Would definitely recommend to our foodie friends. |

We had just arrived in Chicago for our first visit to the city and found the food tour a great way to get to know the area. Our tour guide, Jennifer was so friendly and very knowledgeable not only about the businesses we visited and their foods but full of lots of other interesting facts about the city. Lots of fun and delicious food. Would definitely recommend it to newcomers, but there were locals in our group who enjoyed it just as much. |

The tour gave great insights about Chicago history and architecture. we visited three different neighborhoods and the guide gave us an insiders feel for the different neighborhood personalities and happenings. Highly recommend this tour and any other walking-food tour when visiting a city. We went on the Greenwich Village food tour in NYC last spring and my family enjoyed it so much we decided we would always do a walking-food tour when visiting a new city. This tour did not disappoint. |

The tour was great and enjoyable. My only negative thought is the emphasis on tipping. I don't like to be reminded to tip. |

Our tour guide was amazing, and the food was spectacular. I really enjoyed this tour for a number of reasons. Not only did this event offer a wide array of food tasting, but a portion of the tour was also focused on fun facts about Chicago, including some history about the area and the architecture surrounding Wicker Park. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chicago, as well as to locals on dates. |

I enjoyed every stop and learning about the foods at each stop. I will never use bottled salad dressing again after sampling the delicious oil and vinegar combinations. The architectural part of the tour was very interesting as well. Chicago is a beautiful city and I had never been to Old Town before. We took a local who has lived in the city for 30 years on the tour with us, and she loved it. Had no idea there were such tours going on in the city. |

Come hungry, there is a lot of food to eat while you tour Wicker Park and Bucktown. Not only do you get some good food, there is also a little history of the neighborhood as well. |
