| This was a great way to see parts of Chicago a tourist might not normally see-- or people who live there for that matter! I loved how the walking and eating were mingled, not too much of either at any time. The servings were "taste" size so you weren't starving, but you weren't stuffed either, and there wasn't much "guilt" if you were cheating on your normal diet or eating plan-- there was LOTS of walking! We were behind another group that was going a bit slower, so I got to hear their tourguide sometimes too, and I think all the guides do a great job telling you interesting things about the city, the buildings you look at, as well as the local shops and restaurants you visit-- each in their own way (no set "speech" that sounded rehearsed) and at the pace of the group. If there was any constructive comment I could make, it would just be for MORE! More information about the area, local buildings of interest or famous people or events, maybe 1 more food stop? I love the tour and have already recommended it to my Chicago native friends as well as everyone here at home, and I can't wait to take the other tour (and more if you come up with them) as well as looking for similar tours in other cities we visit and even here at home. YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!! p.s. maybe give a prize to the person who answers the most questions right over the course of the tour? Just sayin'... ;-D LOL | ||||||

| An excellent activity. My Wife and I had a fabulous time. A truly unique way of discovering a new city while sampling different foods etc. The woman that took the tour was tremendous, friendly and with many interesting things to point out about the city. We strongly encourage you to try this out. Nigel & Kim, Wales, UK. | ||||||

| I have done one other food tour which was in New York (Lower east side) and although I loved it, the Chicago one was much better where food was concerned. The Portions were enormous (and I really think they could be a bit smaller) but it did give you a sense of the food you were eating. I loved the tour guide. The only comment I would have is it would be more fun to have a better historical sense of the area. there was a little of that but since I'm a history buff that would be of interest to me. | ||||||

| I liked the tour but there was A LOT of walking involved. I know i was warend about that beforehand, but really there was a lot of walking. Also i felt that we were rushed to finish the slice of pizza we got at the start. The places were were taken to were nice and i enjoyed seeing another part of Chicago. | ||||||

| If you'd like to try a selection of different Chicagoan eateries in a short space of time this is trip for you. An authentic Chicago dog for starter sets the scene for the remaining tastings, which are definitely enough for most people's lunch. And it is not all about the food, there is a chance to find out a bit of the history and architecture of the area. Whether you're from the city or out of the country there is something for you to discover on this trip. | ||||||

| I was a little worried when I saw 3 chocolate destinations (I am one of the few non-chocolate lovers around) but was surprised by the variety of food offered at each of the 3 places. This tour was recommended by a co-worker and I will definitely spread the word. It was nice to see something other than Michigan Avenue, a play, or museum. Don't change a thing! | The food was excellent and our leader, Kent was a lot of fun. He was very knowledgeable of the area and we loved seeing all the old houses and their history that were in this neighborhood. He kept everything moving but we didn't feel rushed. When it started to rain on us, he had rain ponchos for everyone so we could keep moving. It was an excellent tour and I would highly recommend it to everyone. The food choices were interesting, different and very good. We were looking for something different to do in Chicago and we found it. Thanks! | ||||||

| If licking cinnamon off of your hand is your idea of a "tasting" then the Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour is for you. Also, you might enjoy drinking small amounts of olive oil and vinegar or listening to a pedantic lecture about why coffee is bad for you from a tea store employee. Once everyone was asked to taste cinnamon at a spice store by licking their hands, I was horrified. At each of the 8 sites, we were asked to pick up food with our hands, etc. The store owners should have at least sprung for a cracker...and some antibacterial wipes. The guides were adorable and conveyed their rather odd array of information with enthusiasm. In short, there was a lot of walking, a little information, and even less edible food. | ||||||
