A Perfect Introduction to the City

| My friend and I took this tour midday Sunday after having spent the weekend in downtown Chicago. While staying in the downtown area was convenient for all of the sightseeing we'd done, we both agreed that we wish we'd been on the tour sooner so that we would've known about all of the attractions in the near north neighborhoods. Every stop on the tour was informative (and delicious!) I'm studying food science at the Ohio State University and I still found myself learning new things everywhere we went. I believe some of that is a testament to Chicago Food Planet and the participating stores, but I credit our guide Jennifer with most of that. She worked tirelessly to engage everyone in our group, all the while sharing more bits of trivia about architecture, food, and the city than I ever would have expected. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone new to the city with a taste for good food. | ||||||

| My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Not only was the places we visited and ate at terrific, the history of Chicago that we learned was very interesting. We cannot wait to return to Chicago to take the South Shore tour. It was one of our best memories of our trip. And last but not least, Nicki, our guide was the best! Informative, outgoing, exuberant, friendly and just great! | ||||||

| My wife and I had a great time on the food tour. We were able to sample a wide selection of cuisine and get a real feel for life in Chicago. The merchants and restaurant owners were all pleasant, and our tour guide Kate was informative and uber cute. It was worth every penny. | ||||||

| Great thing to do on a day with good weather. Our guide was veyr knowledgable of the area and local restaurants. The places we stopped at were also very good (especially the pizza and beer at Piece) | ||||||

| This was an excellent tour of Chicago neighborhoods. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided excellent tips and information. The food samples were delicious and plentiful. Our entire group seemed to enjoy the tour very much. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to see several different neighboorhoods and that likes a variety of different foods. | ||||||

| I was in town for a conference and thought the food tour would be a way to see some of Chicago. It was fabulous! The old town and gold coast neighborhoods were great! The food selections were good and enough for lunch! Great tour guide. This is a must for anyone on a short stay in Chicago. | ||||||

| Excellent way to spend a few hours in Chicago. The venues were diverse. We learned about the history and architecture of north side neighborhoods. Our guide Jennifer was first rate. My son and I found the tour better than expected. | ||||||

| My brother came to visit from California and I wanted to entertain him with good food and walking exposure to Chicago. This walking tour was perfect! I decided to sign up for the "new" tour that covers the Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhoods primarily because I wanted to explore these areas by foot instead of by car. Our tour guide (forget his name, sorry bro!) was energetic, knowledgeable, and entertaining. | ||||||

| A WONDERFUL GROUP OF PEOPLE, AND ALL AGES WHO GOT ALONG AND WENT TO THE TOP OF THE JOHN HANCOCK BLDG AFTERWARDS AND HAD A GOOD TIME TALKING. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS EXCURISON, AS THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD, THE DESERTS WERE TO DIE FOR AS WAS THE COMPANIONSHIP. | ||||||
