| Our tour yesterday exceeded our expectations. It was very well organized and the 8 stops we made were varied and the information provided by our guide, Emily, and the merchants was interesting. No shortcuts were taken and the tour which was scheduled to last 3-3 1/2 hours lasted closer to 4 hours because the people in our group were comfortable asking Emily questions that she thoughtfully answered. Emily was also excellent as she was personable, knowledgable, engaging, and extremely entusiastic. Even though my wife and I have lived in Chicago for over 50 years, we learned many things on this tour and went to several intersting places that we had never been before. We enjoyed this tour so much that we are planning on going on the Wicker Park tour in the near future. | ||||||

| This was a great tour of the Bucktown/Wickerpark neighborhoods, especially the restaurants. It was a fun tour with plenty of tasty food and even a little beer. Definitely recommended, especially on a nice sunny day. | ||||||

| I found the tour interesting, the guide was fairly knowledgeable and very informative. The food was good, but not what I had expected at all. Perhaps a better description is in order on the web site. | ||||||

| The stops 1.Ashkenaz Deli - atonement required for a less than stellar latke 2.Tea Gschwendner - a lovely shop and a very interesting presentation 3.The Spice House - exotic and fascinating, an aromatic treat 4.Old Town Oil - way beyond what I expected - some of the balsamics really are good enuf to drink 5.The Fudge Pot - overindulgence city. Good thing we had a long walk ahead of us 6.CateringChocolate - Despite the Presidential Seal, an underwhelming stop 7.Bacino's - heart healthy pizza - because it makes you want to stay alive just to go back for more - yum yum 8.Ethel's Chocolate Lounge - had to miss this stop due to a date with a plane, but it's a destination we'll seek out when next in Chicago. The guide Emily - knowledgeable and lots of fun. Really made this neighborhood come alive. Thanks. A+ | ||||||

| My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the walking food tour given by Chicago Foods (Chicago Food Planet, Inc.) on the near North side of Chicago. We especially loved the pizza at Bacino’s and the chocolate at Ethel’s Chocolate Lounge. We also enjoyed the education we received about tea, spices, oils and vinegars, and more. Having a local person give the tour was a bonus because she gave us interesting information about many buildings and of the culture in the neighborhoods we walked through. We highly recommend this tour for anybody. | ||||||

| We had a group of 13 and across the board everyone of us truly enjoyed this. We are all Chicogo based people and were looking for a team building activity and just found this on the web. We had a great time across the board, learned a lot more about Chicago both the town and the food stops that were officially part of the tour. We made lots of comments about how it was great to be local and learn more about our home town. | ||||||

| The tour really was a great way to experience one of Chicago's vibrant neighborhoods. Our guide, Emily, was incredibly informative and kept the mood fun while we wondered through Bucktown and Wickerpark sampling some AMAZING food and getting a very rich historical and cultural background on both communities. Highly recommend for tourist and locals alike. One bit of advice, come hungry! Thanks so much for a wonderful experience! Will certainly spread the word. | ||||||

| I hadn't spent much time in Chicago, so this tour was a great way to see a couple of interesting neighborhoods up close and learn about their history. Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and informative, and the tour group had a very collegial feeling. We sampled food from 6 restaurants, and they were all excellent. The portions varied from "almost a meal" to just a taste. At the end, though, no one left hungry. I liked one of he restaurants so much that I went back there for brunch on the same weekend. | ||||||

| A mixed group of 8 friends met up from around the country and abroad to spend a very enjoyable 3 hours on this tour. The enthusiasm of the guide was infectious and her knowldege of both the food and the architecture added to the enjoyment. Several members of the group plan to take the tour again when they return to Chicago. | ||||||

| We recently took the Near North Food Tour and thouroughly enjoyed it. Our guide Kate was excellent and very knowledgeable not only on the food front but also the history of the area. All the stops were made extremely interesting with little talks on each and "try outs" everywhere. I dot want to spoil it for you but there were some GOOD things to eat all the way round but I would suggest you have a small breakfast 1st. Also GOOD walking shoes required as you are on you feet most of time and its some 3 hours. Be aware that you will be left at the last "port of call" and this may require making your own way back which in our case meant a cab Otherwise BOOK IT you will enjoy it M | ||||||

| We enjoyed the tour very much. We are from the area and were aqauinted with some of the architectural discussion but the concept of a "food" oriented tour is very unique. We just wish there was more opportunity to taste from some of the great restaurants we passed rather than pizza and potato pancakes. | ||||||
