Chicago Food Planet Food Tours

Our guide Kent was great and the places we went to were awesome!! I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in finding good local places to eat and learning about the "not so familiar" parts of Chicago. Make sure to bring an empty stomach because you will be full by the time your done.

We loved the walking tour! It was well worth the price to be able to find places that we would never have known about. And the stuffed pizza at the end was excellent. We will be coming back to Chicago next year and plan on doing the other tour. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Our tour guide was great and we had an excellent time on the tour. Loved the Spice house. The downside was we ran late due to traffic on the Dan Ryan. We called ahead and was told we would be accommodated. But ,when we arrived we missed the first tasting and had to chase down our group. Would have been nice to simply join the next tour that started in 5 minutes. A little flexibility people!!

This is a great tour! We enjoyed it all! The choices of establishments are perfect and the historical and architectural part of the tour were very interesting. It was great to see Chicago from this point of view. Chicago is a beautiful city!

Our tour guide was Kate. She was as friendly as she was knowledgeable about the city. She seemed to have a great relationship with all the owners of the establishments we entered, and worked well with them to explain exactly what we were eating. Along our walk she provided great details about the history and architecture of chicago, which i was not expecting. We had a great time and would do it again in a heartbeat. After the tour was over, we immediately went back to some of the stores to do some shopping. Bravo!

The food and cultural tour was highly enjoyable. I went to many tours in Chicago, and this was one of the best. The tour was highly informative and the tour guides were very personable and inviting. This tour definitely started off my vacation to Chicago on the right foot!

A great way to see some interesting neigborhoods. Our guide, Rebecca, was delightful, well-informed and completely charming. We love Chicago!

It was a good walk and a nice diverse group of places to stop. I would recommend this to people as a fun thing to do and a nice walk.

I would highly recommend this tour. Not only do you visit many foody places, but you tour several different neighborhoods. The food is plentiful and places are all different. Our tour took 3 1/2 hours so be prepared for walking and listening to the history of Chicago and food.

Learned much about tea and spices that we didn't know. Went back after the tour to a number of shops and made purchases. Was so nice to get into and learn about the older neighborhoods and off the tourist path. Our guide knew his material and gave so much info. Was a fun family event, with adult children. Not good for small children, or the people on the tour, when little kids are screaming or crying!

My wife and I,along with another couple ,took this tour on our recent visit to Chicago. It was one of the highlights of our visit to the "Windy City". The tour guide was excellent and well versed . We greatly enjoyed being able to walk some of the quiet neighborhoods and see the outstanding architecture and eateries the city has to offer. The wide range of food tasting made the tour very enjoyable. We highly recommend this tour.

I will definitely do this again. This walking tour includes walking into cool parts of the city- away from the Magnificent Mile and provides great food, interesting shopping (we walked back to all the stores to make purchases after the walk), and great history and trivia about Chicago. Hillary was a great guide- knowledgeable, entertaining, and engaging to her audience.

In a group of 5 of us, ages ranging from 24 to 50, a great time was had by all. It was a beautiful fall day to meander thru several quaint neighborhoods of Chicago. Each stop we made was unique and interesting. We went back to 4 of the shops and purchased foods we sampled. Our tour guide was easy to listen too and kept our attention easily. We would all recommend this tour to anyone. The next time e are in Chicago we will go on the Chinatown tour.
