| Great tour and our leader was very bubbly, enthusiastic and a tad of a drama queen, but in a good way. She was very into the history and enjoyment of the tour. Would highly recommend it to others and we even went back our last day to several of the shops and used our coupons to buy "stuff." Even used one from the booklet we got at the Fudge Pot for O'Brien's Restaurant next door. | ||||||

| Our tour was very relaxing, lots of time to chat as we walked, everyone enjoyed it. I went back to the Spice and Tea and Oil , and Ethels stores and purchased several hundred dollars in merchandise. The architectual points were really interesting and I felt I received an orientation to the neighborhoods, of gold coast, and old town that I would never have achieved walking alone even if I found the shops. The walking part was great too. | ||||||

| What a great tour! It was informative, fun and quite tastey! Our guide, Emily, was articulate, made the walk interesting, and was very organized. When I saw the shops we would visit I was on the fence about a tea shop, oil shop and spice shop and they turned out to be my favorites. At first I was a little unhappy about the announcement that we would not have time to shop but I totally understand why. But if you are quick and dont hold up the group you can manage to get in a few purchases! I have since ordered from the oil shop online which was just as well as we were from out of town and it would have been a hassle to try and get the oil and vinegar home on the plane. I have always been a tea drinker but drank "tea dust"! No more! We returned to the tea shop where I purchased several varieties and will be a repeat customer online. Same for the spices. The Saigon cinnamon is unbelievable and I will be ordering from them as well. I am considering ordering all of my christmas gifts from these vendors. | ||||||

| We found that our tour guide was quite knowledgeable about the area and vendors, very energetic, informative and just delightful to spend the afternoon with. The choices of restaurants was wonderful as all of the tastings were delicious. I believe I speak for everyone in our group when I say we would highly recommend other friends take this tour. | ||||||

| This tour is definitely a must do while in Chicago! My girlfriends and i took the Near North tour last weekend and had a blast. I've been to Chicago several times, but never seen the city like this. Our tour guide, Jessie, was very knowledgeable about the city, the food, and the architecture. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago. | ||||||

| Wow! I cannot say enough about the Near North Food Tour! This was a great way for me to see the heart of Chicago on my short weekend trip! The worst part was that I was LATE and missed the first 2 stops. I took the train when i should've taken a cab from my hotel. Just when I had given up, my cell phone rings and it's Nicky of the tour and she says, "Shawna, are you still coming to the food tour?" WOW! The website says they will not wait for you, but it doesn't say that they won't take care of you! Nicky gave me a number to a cab company and kept up with me 'til I caught up with the tour! AMAZING! I sampled the most awesome foods, saw some of the greatest buildings and was in the company of an EXCELLENT tour guide and enthusiastic travelers! I had too much toffee (can that happen?), loved the cinnamon and over did it on the pizza! I've placed an online order for the vinegars and oils and I can't wait to get back! Sign up! You'll get MORE than your money's worth! | ||||||

| We had a great walking tour on our visit to Chicago. Our guide Jessie was fun, energetic and enthusiastic, which was contagious. I loved the spice shop and the oil and vinegar shop. The stuffed pizza was to die for! If you consider yourself a foodie and enjoy hearing about Chicago while you wear off those calories you just consumed, I think you will love this tour. | ||||||

| I did the Near North tasting food tour with my boyfriend and we had such a great time! Our tour guide was full of fun facts and was so personable. We learned so much about the Chicago neighborhoods and about Chicago food, way more than we expected! I would recommend it to anyone! We went back to most of the places we visited on the food tour straight after the tour to buy products. You will not regret it! | ||||||

| This was a highlight of our group's bus trip to Chicago. Our guide Emily was perfect. We had a wonderful time walking, talking, laughing, tasteing, and learning about the north neighborhoods of Chicago. After the tour we back tracked our route so we could make purchases at the different stops. All the shops were very friendly and helpful. We have already recommened this tour to other friends going to Chicago this summer. The pizza was too good to discribe! | ||||||

| I very much enjoyed the tour of food emporiums in this Chicago neighbourhood. As well as a delicious way to find out what the city had to offer, I learned lots about the history, architecture and city planning that makes Chicago what it is today. My favourite stops were the spice and oil/balsamic vinegar shops ... unique and interesting locations. | ||||||

| Our guide, Jennifer, was fantastic...our tour was a REAL learning lesson about Chicago's history, culture, restaurants, foods....and instead of lasting 3 hrs., it was almost 4. It was a fabulous experience and my sister and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to have an amazing time and learn alot!!! | ||||||

| I enjoyed our guide. She was thoroughly knowledgeable about the city and its history. The walking tour and specialty shops along the way were very enjoyable. I would not recommend the tour for eating in the sense that you would be satisfied that you had eaten enough for a meal. The quantity was enough however the choices offered at the beginning and end of the tour were not my favorite. | ||||||

| We had a great tour guide, very informative and friendly. But 3 hours is a little too long. I would recommend shortening it to 2 hours to maintain everyone's interest. The food samples were NOT very good... except for the chocolate samples. | ||||||

| The walking architecture and food tour was the perfect thing to do. The weather was perfect and our guide, Nikki, did a fabulous job of informing us about Chicago history and foods. Getting into the neighborhoods and away from the hustle and bustle of the city and walking at a leisurely pace with lots of shade trees was simply ideal. There was plenty of food to sample and our small group of 15 was able to stay together and we were always able to hear what was said by our guide. I would recommend this tour to anyone that would like to do something just a little bit different. We even had some local people in our group who also added insight into some of the neighborhoods and homes. Very fun!!! | ||||||
