Great way to spend an afternoon in Chicago
Fri, Oct 17, 08   11:00 AM TLHHarris Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
I was in Chicago for a long weekend with my husband who was attending a seminar on Friday; therefore, I found myself with a free day. I had been to Chicago multiple times in the past while on business and never had time to "see" the city. I am a fan of Trip Advisors and have used it to plan many trips and thus resorted to reviews of top attractions for Chicago before attending. Excellent, consistent reviews by past customers led me to the Near North Tour. Weather was cool and perfect for walking, our guide, Jennifer, was enthusiastic, informative and fun and the historical information and the food were excellent. I would highly reccomend the tour to others!

This experience was very enjoyable from start to finish. The food was great, but what makes the food tour worthwhile is the tour guide. Our guide, Kent, was knowledgable and entertaining. I would have missed out on some great points of interest had I not chosen to go on this tour.

I found that the tour went quickly but was quite a bit of walking for people with health conditions.

Really enjoyed this tour. The tour guide, Kent, was awesome. He really gave a great perspective of Chicago. The food stops were great too. I especially loved the deep dish pizza. Will definitely plan to go on the other tours this company offers as well. Thanks for a great day!

Our guide had such enthusiasm that it spread throughout our group. I had a wonderful time learning about the history of the places we visited, as well as the history and architecture of other buildings we passed along the way. The food was great and the tour offered me the opportunity to try things outside of my norm (The Spice Shop and the Olive Oil/Vinegar place). Had a fantastic time and will try this type of tour in every city I visit!

I would highly recommend the Near North walking food tour. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and we learned a ton of information about Chicago and it's fine foods.

Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The food was wonderful (almost too much to eat!). The info on the walking tour was very interesting. The Bucktown/Wicker Park tour had more variety in the food offerings, but this was well worth it!

We bought these tickets as a birthday gift for a family friend who lives in Chicago, so we attended as a group of four. It was a wonderful day, cool and clear, and perfect for all the walking we did. Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and cute as a button! Even though our friend is a Chicago native, we went places he'd never heard of. They had a interesting mix of food, with very generous portions (almost TOO MUCH!). You won't go hungry! The information on the history and architecture of the area was very interesting. Can't wait to do the other Chicago food tours!

The Food Tour is a great way to see some off-the-beaten-path Chicago neighborhoods. The tour appeals to all ages and interests, so it's great for a diverse group!
