The tour guide was the best! It was a great day - the weather was perfect, the food stops were great, and the guide was full of personality.

Our tour guide was so bubbly and enthusiastic that impossible not to have a great time. Shops visited would have been oblivious to us and what a shame that would have been. You wont leave hungry and to top it off, you will get a good appreciation of Chicago food and archetecture

Great Time on Walking Food Tour of Chicago
Sat, Aug 30, 08   11:00 AM Ruppel Male 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
My wife and I truly enjoyed our food tour experience. We were not totally thrilled about the Jewish Deli foods, but found it very informational. At all of the stops we were greated by very friendly representatives of that particular establishment. Our tour guide was Nicki, she was a DELIGHT, she also gave us some very informative historical information along the walk as we approached each establishment. I highly recommend this tour to anyone and would go on it again whenever we visit Chicago again. Sincerely, Rick Ruppel. Webster City,Iowa

Enjoyed the pacing and the variety. Would cut out the last chocolate in favor of adding an Asian offering. We also enjoyed the history of the local neighborhoods and would enjoy knowing more if available. Lastly, transpertation should at least be offered to get back to starting point, not saying it has to be free. Thanks, Steve and Carol

Fun, educational day

This was a great tour. Growing up in the suburbs, we didn't know much about other neighborhoods in Chicago. The places we went to were very welcoming and the merchants very educational. We look forward to being able to go back and go shopping! Jennifer was a great tour guide!

Our leader was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The tour would have have been hard for someone with walking difficulties. We took the tour with our adult daughters and future daughter-in-law. We had a great time on a great day.

As a food industry professional, I found the tour interesting. The tour should be called the Food and Architecture Tour. The guide was extremely well versed in both specialty foods and the history of Chicago's buildings. I strongly urge anyone who has interest in these areas to take the tour.

Good opportunity to see Chicago neighborhoods

We enjoyed seeing different neighborhoods and the foods from Chicago. Tour guide did a good job of not only educating us on food for Chicago and give us a good understanding of key Chicago neighborhoods. Less chocolate and maybe add something else. Have been on numerous NYC food tours and food tours are the best means to really understand the city.

This is a great tour to get you "outside" of the tourist traps in Downtown Chicago. You get to explore the great homes and residential areas while touring and sampling local "non-chain" establishments. As long as the weather is nice it can make for a great walk, around 2 miles. The tour includes a jewish deli, tea, oil, pizza, chocolate, and spices and herbs. The food samplings are heaviest (pizza) at the end of the tour. The tour lasted around 3hrs 15 minutes. I would recommend eating breakfast prior to the tour. They are arranging a new tour that focus on a another area of Chicago, be sure to check that out as well.

A terriffic afternoon in Chicago!

We've done the uptown, downtown, museums, etc. This tour gives a whole new perspective on the LOCAL scene. Neighborhood history comes alive as we walked among the shops and homes with our guide providing insights. Stopping at small food stores made for a culinary experience as well. Since the tour ends at a different point than it begins, we doulbed our pleasure by walking back on a different route. We are recommending this tour, and the new Bucktown venture, to our friends and family.
