Food portions are very small. The tour is somehow interesting and the show you many places you might come back to, but in general you dont get that great of a deal for the money you pay. |

Our tour guide was friendly and very knowledgable...she knows Chicago. Our tour was a fabulous experience and we enjoyed every moment. You have put together a wonderful combination of food venues. I will definitely take another tour next time I am in Chicago and my husband has already said he wants to do the tour as well.
Thankyou for the great time. |

This was a great experience . Our guide Gina was fabulous! It was a good way to try new places and learn about different neighborhoods outside of downtown. The food choices were great. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Chicago and looking for something fun and different to do. |

In my opinion this tour was not worth the $45 price. I expected much more quality food and more food stops. The tasting consisted of hot chocolate, pizza, hot dogs, veggies, ice cream and falafel. The cultural tour was a show case of several homes in the area. I was disappointed and felt shorted. |

At first we were questioning whether this was going to be worth the time and money. After doing it though, we are glad we took the time to do the North Food Tour. Our tour guide Angie was very enthusiastic, outgoing, and knowledgeable about the food and the area. The stops along the tour gave us many places to return to purchase goods, eat more food, and enjoy the atmosphere. So glad we did this tour and would not hesitate to recommend the Near North Tour to anyone. AWESOME EVENT! |

This was my favorite part of our trip! Our guide, Nicole, was fantastic! She told us about the history of the places around us, the resturaunts we went to, and the neighborhoods! Every piece of food we consumed was delicious! Don't be picky when you take one of these tours, its definitely worth tasting everything even if you don't normally eat that food! I'm sure the oil stop sounds odd, I certainly thought there was no way I would just drink straight olive oil, but they actually have a wonderful flavor. It's worth the taste, for sure! This is definitely something I wouod recommend for first time travelers as well as folks who have been to Chicago several times. |

We went on the Bucktown/Wicker park food tour and myself my husband and three kids age 22,19, and 16 all loved it. Nicole was a great guide. The variety, quantities and spacing of the food was perfect. Everyone had their favorite. I particularly enjoyed the history and architectural information that was presented along the way. The next time we are in Chicago we will definately do another Food Planet Tour. |

I am a little behind in reviewing the Chicago Food Planet tours, but i enjoyed my first tour on July 17th with a couple girlfriends which was the Wicker Park/Bucktown tour with Kent so much that i had to take the Near north tour on August 10th with another friend and had Heather as our guide. I would highly recommend these tours. They are a perfect mix of history, walking, visiting great local food establishments and tasting. Make sure to come hungry for the Wicker park/Bucktown tour! The food is great, wonderful neighborhoods to walk off some of the calories and Kent was a very knowledgable, entertaining guide. One thing i noticed was that when things get loud on the street, Kent stops talking and waits so you can actually hear what he is saying ! Thank you Kent! Wow, can't tell you how many times i've lost interest in listening to guides that continued to speak above the noise. Very delicious and generous portions and easy to get to the meeting place from the Union Pacific NW train stop at Clybourn for people like us from the Northwest suburbs. Just remember, if you can't eat that much, do what my one friend did and get a doggy bag to go. She ate it on the train on the way home.
The Near North Food tasting tour was equally as good and Heather was a great guide as well. The tour still stuffs you with good food but gives you also more variety of tastings including a spice store, olive oil store and chocolate store. I'd like to go back and just visit these places again for a day and spend some time shopping at some of the stores in these cozy neighborhoods, plus they give you a map of the area and more suggestions for great places to eat in the vicinity that you can use if you go back. I have been passing the word along because it is such a unique and enjoyable way to spend time in the city with friends. And YES, I am planning to go on the Chinatown tour soon.

My neighbor had highly recommended this tour and we were not disappointed. We had never explored these Chicago neighborhoods so enjoyed both viewing the architecture of the homes and eating at each of the restaurants. Each eating place was so unique, the food good and plenty even for a hungry man! Our guide was friendly, vivacious and knowledgeable and had become friends with the restaurant managers as well as some of the homeowners on our trip. We give this activity high marks! |
