| Nikki was an awesome tour guide and made everyone feel welcome and involved during the tour. Barb had to be the best tour member, but everyone was fun leading to a wonderful afternoon of tasting and learning. Loved every minute of it! | ||||||

| What a fun tour! I'd recommend it to anyone, foodie and non-foodie alike. The tour guide (Jen) was super. The hosts at each of the establishments we visited were great, very knowledgeable and personable. Next time I'm in Chicago, I'll probably take the Buck Town/Wicker Park Tour. | ||||||

| Get out of the city: it's an easy trip on the EL from Clark/Lake Blue Line station, 4 stops towards O'Hare . Chicago is the most wonderful city for EATS, and Bucktown/Wicker was not a disappointment. I've been to Chicago several times for conventions and it has been too easy to get locked into the downtown scene. This trip I was determined to explore more, to take a step outside the Loop & Mag Mile. This tour was a great choice: foods from award-winning chefs/restaurants, leisurely exercise, verbal history of the neighborhoods, entertainment (clever guide) -- a great combination. One of the other group members had been on the Near North tour. She said there was more food on the B/W tour than NN, but she raved about the spice store on the NN tour. I intend to do NN next time I'm in ChiTown -- and hopefully go back to B/W to experience the fun neighborhood shopping as well as a long list (provided by our guide) of other restaurants in the area. | ||||||

| I am very glad I chose to spend a few hours of my time in Chicago on a food tour. It widened the scope of places I would have come across on my own, and was coupled with great historical and informational facts on food, sites, and Chicago in general. | ||||||

North Walking Tour

| Wonderful tour. I really enjoyed it, but the tour is very fast walking. Really to fast to enjoy the tour as much as I would have liked. Your walking so fast that you have to pay attention to the ground as not to trip and fall. I would enjoy a tour that was not as long and would allow you to shop as you go along. This tour IS NOT for all fitness levels!!!!!! as the advertisment states. You better be in top shape and have a High fitness level. We had one person drop out of the tour because they could not keep up. The shops we visited were wonderful and our tour guide was great! Would I take another tour? Only if they had a slower more relaxed tour. The long distance was not the problem, it was the extreme fast walking. | ||||||

| I really enjoyed the tour even though we were stuck with a rainy day. Our tour guide kept the mood light and upbeat despite the dismal weather. I have to caution individuals thinking about taking the tour solo. At times I felt as though I was just tagging along because everyone else was participating with friends and family. My attempts to stay engaged and interact with the guide were limited by a couple that monopolized much of our tour guides time while walking. All in all a nice experience with lots to learn and experience. | ||||||

| The idea of mixing classical tourist tour with food tasting is a good idea. But the historic/architecture explanations were quite poor, and the tasting (in particular the pizza at the end) not really fantastic. | ||||||

| Our guide was wonderful. I was by myself from Oklahoma and I decided to do the tour while my husband was in a meeting. I met 14 fun women with their daughters from Tennessee, and was adopted by the group. A fun time was had by all, and I left feeling as though I now had 15 new friends (tour guide and Tennessee ladies). Thank you! | ||||||

| Loved this tour! What a great idea to combine a walking historical, cultural, architectural tour with food stops! The tour guide, Jenn, was fantastic--very enthusiastic! And the three hours seemed to fly by. Melissa from Tea Gschw.... was great as well. I would certainly recommend this to anyone visiting Chicago. | ||||||

| The guides were great, knowledgeble and entertaining. The tour was full of food info, restaraunt info and local info. For someone from out of state, it was a great way to get a feel for the area to be able to go back and shop. I definitely recommend it to people visiting and locals as well. | ||||||

| A good way to learn about out of the way Chicago dining and drinking establishments. Sample and learn about good food and interesting dining establishments. Learn about the neighborhood and its history. A good time at a casual pace. | ||||||

| I had a wonderful time at the tour..it combined the gastronomic and historical! Our guide was very informative and knowledgable about the area. My favorites were the hot chocolate and hot dogs! Helped that the weather was great.. I would like to have experienced more eateries although perhaps its difficult to do in 3 hours. Overall the food tour is a must try especially if youre new to the area...its a great introduction to the neighborhood and a chance to try some great food! | ||||||

| We tasted latkes, tea, spices, oils & balsamic vinegars, chocolate toffee, cheeses & deep dish pie. I would have liked shorter presentations (the tea guy went on forever) and more food tastings. I would have loved to try small portions of signature Chicago dishes. Enjoyed the architectural information, though. Overall, I think I would have liked more samples at more restaurants, but in small portions. And I would have liked to know more about foods that are Chicago specialties, and more about the current food scene in Chicago - maybe even some culinary history of the town. | ||||||
