My neighbor had highly recommended this tour and we were not disappointed. We had never explored these Chicago neighborhoods so enjoyed both viewing the architecture of the homes and eating at each of the restaurants. Each eating place was so unique, the food good and plenty even for a hungry man! Our guide was friendly, vivacious and knowledgeable and had become friends with the restaurant managers as well as some of the homeowners on our trip. We give this activity high marks! |

The guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The group was lovely, the walk just right and the stops a nice balance of heavier food with a lovely "spice" stop and incredible shop with only EVOO's and balsamic vinegars. The sweets finished off the tour nicely. |

We really enjoyed both the food and the history, plus it was a great introduction to the neighborhood where we were staying. I highly recommend this group. |

We thoroughly enjoyed the Bucktown/Wicker Park food and cultural tour and enthusiastically recommend it. We had friends visiting from Lake Tahoe and we made reservations for this tour well in advance of their arrival. We had been anticipating this event for two months, and it not only met but exceeded our expectations. The restaurants and shops we visited provided a wonderful variety of tastings, and our guide (Carrie) was enthusiastic, well informed and extremely friendly. We liked the size of the group, which was very manageable, and it was fun meeting people from different parts of the country. We had a terrific time and will have wonderful memories. |

Perfect amount of time and appropriate amount of food. The guide was great and she had a substantial amount of knowledge regarding the architecture in the neighborhoods. |

This was a great tour. We started off with a sandwich at a deli that I may not have looked at if it wasn't for our tour. The sandwich was probably my favourite! Our next stop was at Lou Manettii's for pizza. Delicious! Kent, our tour guide, provided us with the history of every place we visited. We then visited a tea shop (of which I went back and purchased some tea), spice market, chocolate shop and a bakery. Throughout the tour, Kent walked us around Old Town and Lincoln Park and pointed out important buildings of the neighbourhoods. I highly recommend going on this tour. It gets you out of the touristy areas and allows you to see more of Chicago. And you also get to taste some great food!!!! |

The neighbourhood was very interesting and it was good to get out of downtown. Our guide, Kent, clearly loved his city and he provided information on the neighbourhood as we walked, as well as some background on the restaurants we visited. This tour is a very convenient way of hitting some restaurants and shops you otherwise wouldn't likely have time for and seeing a different area of Chicago. All of the food was very good too! Well worth the time and money. |

Nice way to feel more comfortable going and eating in china town on our own. Would be interested to have less quantity of any one food and more diversity. |

This tour not nearly as enjoyable as Gold Coast.

We had taken the Gold Coast Near North tour a few months ago and loved everything about it. This tour was ok, but it was about an hour too long. Our last tour guide talked about history, etc. along the way to the destinations, which would have been great for this one to do also. But we did LOVE our tour guide, she was awesome. If you could shorten this tour to 2 hours it would be much better. |

Loved the opportunity to try some local favorites. Liked that we started with heavier foods. The vinegar/oil store and Spice Market and tea store was definitely a hit (went back and shopped hard). I know others in our group did, too. I hope your shops appreciate your tour groups as they must make them a great deal of money!
The information for the tour did say that it included architecture, and a little of that was provided. I know time is limited, but I would have loved to have heard more. I have been on tours where we wore headsets, and it gives the guide an opportunity to talk as they walked. That way you can give some history of Chicago itself, etc. Might be something to consider for your tours. (See Savor Seattle Food Tours). We did their Pike's Market tour and will certainly do that again with their other tours. They used headsets and it was really fabulous!
Also, just a thought, taking a picture of your customers on the tour, then posting them on your FB account. That way clients become "friends" and get a memento of their day. You can also get a lot of great feedback about the tours there. And maybe the vendors you take your clients to can post information periodically about their shops, specials, comments about the groups that came in that day, etc.
Am going to contact you, though, about creating a food tour in Boise ID. I think our little foodie city is ready for it! |

Our guide, Colleen, was full of energy and informative. An absolute great way to see and eat our way through the city. We will definitely schedule the other tours during upcoming visits. |
