This was the best activity we did in Chicago. We are looking forward to our next trip to Chicago to do the other food tour.

I attended this tour on a family reunion in Chicago. It was, by far, the favorite part of our trip! The food was amazing, and even if you are not a huge foodie, the architectural/historical knowledge of our tour guide alone would make for a very interesting tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chicago, whether or not you are interested in the food tasting.

Excellent Tour

I have to say that this tour was EXCELLENT. My girlfriend and I took this Near North tour and had a great time. Our tour guide was very knowledgable about the whole area and not only took us to great spots for food but also talked about a lot of the architecture and history. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Chicago and even the locals. The tour recommends all users NOT to buy items from the stores while on the tour to make sure we can complete the tour in a 3 hour time frame however this also really creates a "NO PRESSURE" atmosphere. In no way shape or form does this tour try to promote items in any store but rather gives you different experiences in the area. I look forward to going back to Chicago and taking the Bucktown / Wicker Park tour.

Underestimated!!!

The tour was way more than expected. We originally thought we would receive a review on a handful of local eateries but inestead received a wealth of information about Chicago and the local neighborhoods too! The tour guide was very knowledgable and clearly enjoyed her job. The walk was a perfect distance and the stops were well planned out. No delay's, issues or problems occurred. All of the stops were pefectly planned and we were not stuffed until the end with the slice of pizza. Thanks for a great experience and a well-guided tour. A great value for travelers!!!

The Bucktown Tour and our guide, Ben, was very nice. Our first stop was George's Hot Dogs and it was a fantastic Chicago Style Dog with all of the trimmings. The other stops were very good also . Caution....DO NOT take this tour if you have a problem with walking. This is a 3 hour walking tour. Great historical neighborhood walk among local shops and eateries on a gorgeous 75 degree day that begins with hot dogs and ends with custom made ice cream. What more could you ask for. Love n Peace Sandra Miami FL

My husband and I recently took our fourteen year old daughter and seventeen year old son to Chicago for four days. The food tour was a favourite highlight for us all. The neighbourhood walk and food tastings were awesome and enjoyed by all. Ben our tour guide was great. He made the whole experience very fun and educational. We returned to the neighbourhood, rewalked part of the tour and enjoyed brunch at Bongos, a place reccommended by Ben. It was an awesome experience. We would definately do a food tour again!

They were four couples in our group. Everyone enjoyed the walking tour not only did we taste some delicous foods we learned many things about teas, spices, olive oil and, balsamic vinegar that was new and informative to all of us. The day started with a tasty sandwich and ended with the best Chicago pizza we had while in town. As well, we learned so much about Chicago to include history, events, and historical buildings and places that we probably would not have seen if not for the tour. Would recommend the tour, and will probably now do other tours while in large cities.

I had a friend visit and decided to take this tour for the first time myself. It was a great experience - not only sampling food and visiting local merchants -- but hearing the history of the areas we walked through. Our guide was a delight (Arrianna). I will definitely recommend this to others and hope to do the Wicker Tour myself.

My husband and I took this tour when we found ourselves back in Chicago. Our family had taken the Near North tour back in June and really loved it. The Bucktown/Wicker Park tour did not disappoint!!! Our tour guide Kent was awesome!! He was very knowledgeable, interesting, and fun. This is not a section of Chicago that we would have ventured into on our own (because there are no "headline" attractions). Kent was full of stories, information, and tidbits that we never would have found in any tour book! It is very obvious that he loves this city and loves to show it to people. The stops along the way were very varied and interesting. Never have we seen or tasted ice cream made with liquid nitrogen---with so MANY different combinations of flavors as well. Our favorite stop was at Hot Chocolate for the frozen hot chocolate---to die for!! We even returned a few nights later for pizza and beer at the local pizzeria and brewpub. Part of the fun was just watching all of the people gathered at such a popular local hangout. I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys food and wants to hear all about Chicago from a local who loves his city!!!

A great chance to experience a part of Chicago you would probably never find on your own. Kent was a great guide, who talked enthusiastically about his home! There was plenty of food but it so well planned out, you eat at the right times so just when you're feeling full, you walk for an hour and take in some beautiful and interesting sights and work your appetite back up!!! Everyone who goes to Chicago should do this!!!
