A wonderful way to see a city...learning about the history of different neighbourhoods on foot and eating along the way...There were 7 family members (husbands and wives) along with others from all over the world..we all had the same passion..... FOOD...Our tour guide was fabulous..very informed and definitely loved what she was doing..certainly proud of her Chicago...Definitely want to do another.....We've done 3 such tours now....N.Y., Chicago and Seattle...Loved them all.... It was my second time on the walking tour, and I would go a third! I like the neighborhoods, the food, the parks, the history and information. Jenn was a great tour guide. It is a nice way to do something different in the city. You get the whole tourist experience and some great food! I liked the pizza place better,(the the previous) and the olive oil shop was really neat. There was only one problem, when we got finished (Sunday) and walked back down, the shops were closed, so we didn't get to do any shopping. Maybe think about making the children be at least 8-10 years old.

The food tour was very informative and enjoyable. The selection of stops was great, and so was the food sampled at each stop. Large and delicious samples. Would highly recommend.

We were told about the Near North Food Walking tour by a friend who did it last summer. Our group consisted of my husband and myself and our two children (age 17 & 19).It met our expectations and more. It kept all of our interests all the way through (even our teenagers). The tour guide was very knowledgable, pleasant, friendly, warm. The guide was very informative about the food establishments but she also had a great knowledge of the city along the way. We were greeted at each establishment with warmth from the store employees and were given interesting information from them as well as our guide about each individual speciality. Three hours were a concern at first but we immediately forgot about the time and when the tour was finished we actually felt like we could go on. We back tracked to a few stores to make purchases when we were done the tour. All in all an excellent way to see Chicago from an insiders point of view. Not touristy at all even though we were on a tour!!

The restaurants we visited were interesting and so was the info on the neighborhoods. Our tour guide (a young man) was fun and knowledgeable. My wife uses a wheelchair and could not get into two of the seven places we went to. A little disappointing but the tour guide brought out samples for us to try. Very nice of him. We would recommend the tour.

Our tour guide was extremely well informed at all the food stops as well as pointing out the history and architectural features of the areas we walked through. The food we tasted was ample and very good and the restaurant and shop employees were helpful and informative too. We were surprised to be the only ones in our group from Illinois, we highly recommend this tour to locals, it's a relaxing Metra ride downtown and an easy cab ride to the tour meeting site. We plan to take the Wicker Park tour in the spring! Go! Enjoy!

I was with someone who had lived in Wicker Park for a number of years, and she found out about places and history she had never known before. Tip: have a LIGHT breakfast and go on the tour a little hungry. The food is just the right amount to make you full, but not stuffed to the gills. Nice mix of stops, changing up tastes from hot dogs to sweets, to savory. We went back later to one of the stops to pick up dinner for that night. Highly recommended. Try to get Jess as your guide.

This is a fabulous way to see parts of Chicago that you would never otherwise probably get to see. The tour takes you into the neighborhoods and gives you such a rich history and up close and personal look into the heart of the city. Our guide, Nikki, was so personable and knowledgeable! She definitely made the 3-hour tour seem much shorter. I was ready to keep going! There was a good variety of food. .. reubens, speciality teas, EVOOs, spices, CHOCOLATE and, of course, Chicago-style pizza at its best. I highly recommend this--whether you are a Chicago or Illinois native or a visitor. I would suggest that if you haven't eaten much since breakfast, that you eat a light snack if you take a later tour (past noon). Well worth the money!

Both my husband and I can recommend this tour to anyone who likes food! The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic about the places we visited. The food we sampled was wonderful, and introduced us to some restaurants we would not have tried otherwise. We are looking forward to our next visit to Chicago so that we can take another tour!

This is the perfect tour for locals and tourists. The tastings were delicious and the places are all "non-touristy" but give you a great taste of the neighborhood. I was stuffed by the end. The history of each place and the history of the neighborhood is very interesting as well. I am really excited to go back to the places I discovered on the tour. I highly recommend.

Jesse was so enthusiastic . . right from the start we knew we'd have a great time. What a great idea! One thought, though, is perhaps have the last stop going back towards the beginning of the tour. Food was great! Stops were a pleasant surprise. Spent more than I thought I would on vinegar and oil!! Thank you . . .will definitely try the Buck Town tour.

We all thought it was something fun and different to do on a Saturday afternoon. Jessie was a very fun and passionate tour guide. It was a decent amount of walking but not overly burdensome. Our only gripe would be that there really were no tastings at the spice house and the oil shop. The tour group gets the same thing that anybody off the street would get. My suggestion would be to provide a sample of something made with spices available at the spice shop and for some bread to be provided at the oil shop so we didn't have to dip with our fingers. For the money we paid, I would at least expect that. That being said, the pastrami sandwich, the chocolate and the pizza were all excellent and good portions.
