My 15 year old daughter picked this tour and she did a great job! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and really helped make us feel part of the tour. The food overall was a real treat and we loved hearing about the history behind each restaurant. Our only drawback was that we weren't able to go back to some of the restaurants we sampled, as we were leaving the next day or we definitely would have went back to a few. |

This tour gave us an opportunity to see a part of the city that most tourists probably don't experience. It was a good break from the crowded Magnificent Mile. The food was amazing, and we chose to spend another day in the same area so we could try other varieties of food from these AMAZING restaurants. The guide was very knowledgeable and we learned so many interesting facts about the neighborhood. |

If you enjoy food, walking and a little local history, the Bucktown - Wicker Park tour was a great afternoon. Nicole was wonderful, informative, and enthusiastic. More food/drink than I had imagined. Returned to 2 places already! |

Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The food was wonderful (almost too much to eat!). The info on the walking tour was very interesting. The Bucktown/Wicker Park tour had more variety in the food offerings, but this was well worth it! |

Our guide was very knowledgable and friendly and the locations were some that we never would have seen on vacation unless we'd been on this tour. Highly recommended. |

This was definitely an enjoyable tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, sweet and took us to places we ordinarily would never go. I'm not sure it's completely worth the price, but did definitely enjoy it. |

Had a great time! Good food, lots of education & walking. Both kids (18 & 20) said they would do it again. Next time we will not have a big breakfast, since there was a lot of food on the tour. We appreciated the mix of eating & walking, along with education on food, people & culture. The tickets initially seemed expensive, but it's well worth it. We got more than our money's worth. |

Loved the tour...Colleen was awesome. Gold Coast tour gave a taste of food and best of all, taught us how to carry this home to our own kitchens. We returned to the shops to purchase spices, balsamic vinegar/olive oil, and teas to create new food blends back home. Offering much more than tasting, it was a journey on how to create savory dishes to delight the palate YUM!!! |

A nice mix of history and food. Our tour guide was interesting and the food was delicious. We were so full when we finished, we did not need dinner that evening! |

Our group absolutely loved this tour. Heather, our guide, gave great information about not only the food and restaurants but also the surrounding areas and landmarks. The food samplings at the first 2 stops were substantial and less so at the remaining 5.....but that was ok because I don't think I could eat heavily at 7 stops. My favorite stop was the sandwiches, I will be dreaming about that sandwich for quite some time. My friend loved the candy store. Definately something for everyone on this tour. |

I took the near north food tour and I guess I was expecting the food to be related to Chicago history, culture, climate etc.. The deep dish pizza certainly fit the bill, and the pastrami sandwich. But tea? Oil and Vinegar? I don't see the Chicago connection. Also, I'd mentioned that I was lactose intolerant so the pizza I got was a piece of crust with cold tomato sauce. A little sausage would have been nice, since the others were all eating sausage pizza. The guide was great though, and I did enjoy myself - I was just a little puzzled by the choice of tasting destinations. If I were to make a recommendation it would be to save the $45, skip the tour and go straight to the oil shop (Old Town Oil). They'll let you taste even if you're not with the tour. Same for the spice shop. These shops were a lot of fun. |

My parents were in from out of town and we all thought a food tour would be really fun. We loved walking around the Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood and hearing all about the old houses and buildings. The food was fantastic - we were stuffed for the rest of the day. Everything was so delicious - I can't recommend this tour enough!! |
