I didn't know really what to expect but was pleasantly surprised that it was so interesting and the food was diverse and very tasty. We had a group of eight people and that was so nice....not too big. I loved all the six stops. The guide was also knowledgeable about the architecture of the area...could have spent more time on that part. The only change that I'd recommend is putting the hot chocolate somewhere towards the end of the tour. Thanks again....a highlight of Chicago for me.

Enjoyed it very much. Walking was very brisk so may not be right for anyone with a cane or trouble keeping up. Guide was excellent.

Hillary, our guide, was knowledgeable, fun and lively. The variety and quality of places that we visited was excellent and the tastings were top-notch. I have recommended the tour to several co-workers who live in the Chicago area. I am from Jacksonville, FL and was here on business. This was an ideal for a woman travelling alone on such as myself. If I return, either alone or with my spouse, I will definitely take one of the other tours offered.

Highly recommend this tour for the cultural info.

Thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. Chris, our guide, was pleasant, informative and and upbeat. Kept a very lively conversation going with everyone in the group. Was very patient as some in the group had some difficulty walking. The food we tasted was varied and interesting and a bit different from the usual fare expected at a couple of the stops. Educationally, I learned about tea, spices and vinegar and oils. Archetecturally I learned about several different types of archetecture that i probably wouldn't have even noticed otherwise.

Terrific Cultural and Food Tour!

Our tour was led by Arianna, who did an outstanding job of describing the areas we were walking through, the history of the area and fun facts that we all enjoyed immensely. The places selected for tastings were diverse and excellent - every single one of them. And again, Adriana, explained the history of the shops/restaurants and had an in depth knowledge of the food and what made it so tasty! This was one of the best tours of this type that I've taken. Arianna is an outstanding guide..not only was she very knowledgeable, but she was a lot of fun! I would definitely recommend this tour and would do it again!

Fabulous experience

The tour was fantastic!! The tour guide, Ariana Vargas, was the best!! She was knowledgable, energetic, friendly, and considerate of everyone. While the weather wasn't the best that day (rain, wind, and cool at times) we hardly noticed it because she kept us moving and excited about what we would see next. The food was excellent at each establishment. Loved the pastrami, pastries, chocolate and pizza. But the spice house and oil and vinegar shop were so interesting and fun to explore. Too bad time didn't allow for purchasing, but that is completely understandable. I would definitely recommend this tour to others!!

Ariana, our guide, made the tour so much fun. She is a wealth of information and so vivacious. We never even noticed how bad the weather was (windy and raining). We just wanted to keep on going and learn about everything she had to say. The selection of stores we went to was great also. But to be honest, Ariana was the reason we loved this tour so much! She was adorable and had a fabulous personality.

`We are a gourmet group from St. Louis. We all loved the tour and our guide was GREAT. She was very informative and personable. The food tastings were very good and substantial. If we are in chicago again, we want to take your other food tour. Thanks for a memorable experience.

Lovely Afternoon

I come to Chicago every few years for a three day weekend with friends and we were looking for something new and interesting to do. We all agreed it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. The beginning point of the tour was within walking distance of our hotel and that was a big plus. Our tour guide, Hillary, was wonderful and everyone on the tour was friendly. We loved walking in the Old Town and Lincoln Park area which we had never explored before. The small stores on the tour were so interesting that a couple of us retraced our steps and went back and bought some of their products. We would love to try the other tour next time.

I had so much fun on the food tour. We were able to taste lots of different foods, see some of the neighborhoods of Chicago and get lots of exercise walking. This tour was one of the highlights of my trip. Thank you so much! I am a Personal Chef in the Seattle area..I think I need to check into a food tour in Seattle.

Yes it is a Food Tour and yes there is food, and yes it was great food at each stop. But almost as important was the information that was given at each stop. Both my wife and I cook and the tour has changed the way we look at cooking, especially in the area of spices. A great tour and lots of fun.

We enjoyed this tour immensely. Our guide Ariana was knowledegable, enthusiatic, highly personable and well organized. The stops and samplings were nicely varied. The information and walking route for Old town and Lincoln Park was great. There was more than enough food for lunch spread over three hours. The walk itself was paced in a way to provide excerise but not be exhausting. The hosts at each establishment visited were friendly and welcoming. All in all it was one of the highlights of our visit to Chicago.

We started out going to some unusual places, like a spice shop and an oil and vinegar shop. They were amazing and loved by everyone. The food was great and the pizza at the end of the tour was so good!!!!
