Chicago Food Planet Food Tours

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, and our tour guide, Kent, was very knowledgeable and entertaining.

My wife and I were pleased with the thoughtful appoach of the food tour. Portions were generous but not overwhelming, and Heather provided so much useful information throughout the entire day. We have already recommended this tour to family and friends, and it would be high on our list of things to redo at some future time when we find ourselves back in Chicago.

My group and I truly enjoyed the entire experience. We visited seven local restaurants, and we gained interesting information at each. Our food was excellent--and we were all pleasantly surprised at the generous portions. We also enjoyed learning about the culture of Chicago while traveling the neighborhoods. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. There are sufficient "breaks" from walking, including two scheduled bathroom breaks. I highly recommend this tour!!!

This specific food tour allowed several of my friends to gather and walk, talk, learn about a local neighborhood and enjoy and sample the foods from various selected restaurants. Because the participants were from other Chicagoland neighborhoods, as well as, other cities across the US, the tour offered that enjoyable dimension. Our tour leader was friendly, outgoing and extremely knowledgeable about the area. This activity completely lived up to my expectations and I would seek out other tours from this company.

A group of girls and I went on this tour. Some of the girls were from out of town and some were from the Chicago area. We all had a fantastic time! The tour was informative not only about the food and restaurants but also about the Wicker Park/Bucktown neighborhoods as well. The tour was organized well with enough walking time between tastings and appropriate sample sizes. I would recommend this tour for anyone!

My wife and I had a great time (in spite of the rainstorm). Angie did a great job of describing things on the tour and her attitude and friendliness were also great. Loved it! Sophie our guide was informative yet fun.

Lisa was our guide and it was so enjoyable. Even though it ended up pouring on us during the tour, I still had a great time. Fun to learn the history about a place and have someone who knew the area so well. Really enjoyed the tastings. Although it really was plenty of food, it would have been fun to go to a few more places as well, there are so many unique things to try in Wicker park. Also, Sultan Market's baklava was some of the best I've ever had. Places on the tour were well chosen and satisfied this Foodie.

Fun and great tour. especially for first-timers Went with a friend who was familiar with Chinatown and even she was impressed and enjoyed herself. I recommend Alicia as a tour guide.

Good food, interesting tour info

The food was fantastic! Great variety of stops, lots of rich Chicago history and a tour that is not too short or too long.

I loved this tour. A great combination of history and food. Our tour guide was wonderful, well informed, enthusiastic and really took time to understand what we needed. As we stopped at our tasting spots, I learned so much about the cuisine (how to brew a great cup of tea, what makes a chicago pizza great). The neighborhood was rich in history and archetecture. I only wish we had gone a day earlier, as we chose our last day for the tour. The merchants were friendly, the food excellent. They even offered coupons. This was a great way to know the city, culture and to meet people. Our group was well diverse and we left as friends. I've never taken a tour before, but after this experience, I would definately book other tours.
