Great Walking tour but no food

| The walking and sightseeing tour was wonderful, but were'n't we promised food? Tasting a couple of chocolates doesn't consist of eating. I was hungry at the end of the tour. The name of the tour is deceiving. | ||||||

| I've been a resident of Chicago for nearly 20 years and I learned at least a dozen new things about the city and its architecture from this tour! Our guide did an excellent job and the food was delicious! Highly recommended! | ||||||

| We had a blast! My wife, my best friend and I expected a good time, but this blew us away. Well worth the money. The energy and knowledge of the tour guide was engaging and entertaining. This is the best way to see Chicago and some of its greatest little secrets - both cultural and culinary. The food was amazing and interesting, and the walk was beautiful and captivating. I regret moving out of the city moreso now than ever before. At the end of the tour we couldn't believe we had walked as far as we did and the time just flew by. Tourists and locals alike MUST TAKE THIS TOUR! P.S. - Not a bad way to meet people either. | ||||||

| my friend and I took the tour thinking it would be just going from cafe to cafe however, it turned out to be much more... we walked through a wicker park neighbourhood where our tour guide Kent (i think) pointed out different houses and the history behind them, it was really fascinating..... he was very knowledgeable and fun, a true master working with people...he knew how to move us along without us feeling rushed... the cafes were ready for us, we had reserved tables everywhere we went so we could just sit and enjoy the food and surroundings... without a doubt we will book another tour with your company the next time we're in Chicago which may be in the spring Sue and Janice | ||||||

| This walking tour gave my wife and I a real taste of a Chicago neighbourhood. We found Wicker Park and Bucktown to be interesting and an example of what urban renewal is all about. It was interesting to see how the area has developed and been restored into an artistic community. It has real character to it. We had more tastings than the Gold Coast tour. Our tour guide, Kent was friendly, knowledgable and kept the tour moving. Our favourite tastings were Hot Chocolate and I-Cream and we look forward to revisiting both of them on our next trip to Chicago. | ||||||

| We like to get off the beaten track and both the Chicago Food Tours did exactly that. Both guides, Nicky on Nr North, and Kent on the Bucktown Wicker Park tour were excellent. A guide can make or break a tour and both definitely made them. The food was divine. The tour is a must do for any aged adult (one of the tour attendees was a lovely lady celebrating her 86th birthday on the Nr North tour). | ||||||

| A wonderful experience exploring the Gold Coast, Old Town and Lincoln Park. Our guide, Nikki, was informed, friendly and knowledgable about the area. We enjoyed the various tastes and flavours from the rueben sandwich at the deli in the Gold Coast to the Spices, Olive Oils and Chocolates of Old Town to the Stuffed Pizza in Lincoln Park. All of which were delicious. We learned much about the history and architecture of the area. We had an interactive and friendly group which made the difference. After the tour, we went back to the back to a couple of the food places on our tour a return visit. The tour was a fun and interesting way to learn more about Chicago and highly recommend it. | ||||||

| I realy enjoyed all of the stops on the tour, especailly the hot dog. While visiting Chicago we tried three "chicago style" dogs and the one from George's was by far the best. The homemade marshmallow and nutella ice cream were pretty great too. I loved getting directed around wicker park, and wish we'd planned for more time in that area. Our tour guide, Ben, was informative and enthusiastic (maybe a little over the top...fake?) but had good info to share. Overall, would suggest this as a fun day, but not a must-do unless you live for food. | ||||||

| The food tour was so much fun and the food was so good. Our guide Nikki was really good to explain the different food samples and gave us great information on the neighborhood while we were walking. I recommend it to everyone visiting Chicago. | ||||||

| I would recommend this tour to ANYONE visiting Chicago. It's a bit different to the usual tourist activities, you get to view neighbourhoods you might not normally see, taste some fantastic food and learn loads from the excellent guides. Our group was a mix of locals, US tourists and international tourists. Everyone was friendly, chatting to each other. The tour guide was very informative and really friendly. And the food - well we thought, prior to the tour, that the spices and Oil stops would be a bit pointless - but they were ace. And pretty much everything we ate was so tasty. I will definitely be taking the Wicker Park tour next time I am in Chicago. Book it! | ||||||

| I think the best part of the tour is a chance to visit local neighourbood and try local food where first time tourists would not usually do. The tours are well organized. They gave you maps showing the walking directions and information of transit information, so you could easily go back to visit the places yourself afterwards. You also get to go behind the scenes in some places which I found quite cool. Next time I am in Chicago I will definitely try their other tours or even take the same tour again. | It was awesome to see Chicago (something other than the Mag Mile)!! Something totally different and provided culture. Not tacky in any way and very interesting and worth the money. Our guide Jessie was very well spoken and had lots of info for us as well as great recommendations. | ||||||

| Fantastic tour of Wicker Park./Bucktown. Great food, great tour guide (Carrie). The food was excellent. Our group was so full by the end of the tour, so be sure to go on an empty stomach as there is more than enough food for a meal. Also a very informative walking tour of the neighbourhood and architectural sites. Highly reccommended. | ||||||

| Our group of 11 (in town from Calgary, Canada to run the Chicago Marathon) was thrilled with our experience on this tour, which far exceeded any of our expectations. Our tour guide (Jenn) was warm, personable, knowledgeable and thorough as she walked us through the lovely streets of Chicago, regaling us with stories and folklore, history and architectural information, and even local gossip. The unique shops were fantastic and the tastings scrumptious – a food lover’s delight. What a truly wonderful way to spend a day and see a side of Chicago many tourists don’t bother to explore. We all retraced our steps at tour's end to buy from the independent, family-owned shops that we visited. This tour was a highlight of our trip – not to be missed! | ||||||
