| Nicki was our tour guide and she was wonderful! Knowledgable and fun!! It was a great tour to get outside of Mag Mile and see the REAL Chicago!! I would definitely recommend it to anyone!! It was the best part of our 5 day trip to Chicago... above and beyond the Zoo and a dinner cruise. Thank you!!!! | ||||||

| It was a great neighborhood adventure. We all learned some history, some trivia and about all those little out of the way really nice shops that are fun and interesting in the various neighborhood's. Was so nice just too be able to look around and listen to our group leader with out having to check a map for directions. Some wonderful toffee at the Fudge Pot. Learn how to make a proper cup of tea at Gschwendner. The cheese at Cobey Foods was soooo good as well as the pizza at O"Fame'. The Spice House was nice becasue of being able to taste the hugh variety of spices on their shelves. Looking forward to taking my friends when they come to town to take the tour with me and to having a Ruben at Ashkenaz Deli where the aroma when we walked in was mouth watering. The walking pace was just right and the guide had a lot of knowledge about the area and was a lot of fun and made us all feel very comfortable and pampered. Would recommend it a must when in the city. | ||||||

| Highly recommend this tour to anyone. Nicki and Shane were great guides and told a wonderful story. The tour had a great flow to it and it was the perfect amount of walking, sight-seeing, history lesson and food as well. Well worth the money, in fact I would say that it is worth much more! | I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Tad, was friendly, considerate, and very well informed. He shared many interesting facts about buildings, neighborhoods ,the architecture in Chicago, and about the foods that we were tasting. We stopped in seven places and had delicious (and plentiful) samples; all were so good that we had a difficult time choosing which was our favorite at the end. I would highly recommend this activity and would definitely consider repeating it myself if I have the opportunity to visit Chicago in the future. Very well done! | ||||||

| The guide was very informitive and talked about the neighborhoods as we walked through them I would like to have heard more about recommended restaurants as we walked past them and also would have liked a few more stops. | ||||||

| Shane was an outstanding tour guide, full of information and insight about the Near North Side. I would recommend this tour to anyone who loves history, architecture and food, not necessarily in that order. | ||||||

| I have visited Chicago many times before and pretty much stayed on the Magnificent Mile or took the bus tours around the city. What I loved about the Chicago Food Tasting and Cultural Tour was that the tour was personalized and expanded my knowledge of Chicago. The tour guide, Shane, took the group on a two mile tour throughout four nearby neighborhoods. We stopped at seven different food venues, ranging from spices to chocolate to pizza, and had small tastings; he also provided information about the neighborhoods and architecture. I thought the tour wasfun, educational not only in foods, but in Chicago history, and of course, it was quite tasty! | ||||||

| Despite horrendous weather (snow and rain and downed power lines!)), our small group of a brave five of us in total had a good time, with a nice variety of tasting stops (warn people that there truly is NO need to eat lunch afterwards!), and interesting comments about the different areas of Chicago. If possible, more on the architectural variety would have been an added plus. | ||||||

| I went on many tours during my visit to Chicago and this one was by far the best. Shane was fun, outgoing, and very knowledgable about the food and the city of Chicago. I had so much fun walking with the group and learning about the different foods, landmarks and history of Chicago. I recommend this tour to anyone who loves to walk, eat and learn about history. | ||||||

| I didn't know that the author of the Wizard of Oz came from Chicago! This was just one of the many titbits of information that my very knowledgable and enthusastic guide imparted. And for the food...! A great appetiser (in all its meanings) for Chicago. If it hadn't been so hot (heat advisory warning day), I'd have been more than happy to retrace the tour myself afterwards, and give the stores & food shops the repeat visit they deserved. Luckily for me, the other tour group had to postpone, and I had Shane (the guide) all to myself. He was great, and even arranged for a closed Italian restaurant to open just for us, so that I could sample the pizza. I felt like a VIP at all the stops. Many thanks for making this the highlight of my Chicago trip. | ||||||

| I have taken several food tours in various cities, and this is one of the best! The tour was well planned and offered a fantastic sampling of a variety of foods in several neighborhoods. It was such a treat to see so many different things on a nicely paced walk with a fun and informative guide. | ||||||
