| This tour is great for anyone who wants to see more than typical big city tourist sites. Our guide Jennifer was well-informed and interesting, and she led us on a fairly lengthy walk while sharing history, architectural notes, and just tidbits of info that made us feel that we got to know Chicago a bit better than we did (and we've been there a dozen times). Take note that while food/drink is part of this tour, it's not really a "foodie" tour. I was a bit disappointed that we didn't get more of a behind the scenes look at the stops on the tour and was hugely disappointed that we weren't allowed to make purchases during the tour (you are expected to return to your favorites on your own time so as not to hold up the group's progress). The stop at Old Town Oil was nearly worth the price of admission, but I was so bummed out that I had to walk back there the next day to make some purchases (and trust me, you will want to). I never would have believed that tasting various combinations of oil and aged balsamic vinegar could be so fun and so tasty. I'd recommend the tour if you want to see a different part of town and get some exercise, but don't expect a ton of food or much time at each of the stops. It's a bit pricey for what you get, but I did enjoy it. | ||||||

| We had a blast on this tour. Our enthusiastic leader was Jen. She was fun and personable and well informed. The food we tasted was great. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar shop was great fun. We experimented with all kinds of oil and vinegar mixtures and tasted each one. I liked the fact that the tour went along at the pace of the group. We were not rushed through and we did not waste time either. The tour did go longer than the 3 hours, so just plan for that to avoid any problems. I would strongly recommend this tour if you are in Chicago. | ||||||

| My teenage daughter and I truly enjoyed the whole experience. From the extensive history of Chicago to the varied tastes we encountered, it was a great investment of our short time in the city. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, sharing her love for the area. We actually returned to the same area the next day to enjoy four of the tour stops in more detail. | I did the tour w/ my 18 yr old son & 20 yr. old. daughter. We LOVED this tour. Starting with the ever famous 7 ingredient Chicago hot dog to the inventive hi-tech ice cream, nothing we had was just a sampler. We had a whole Chicago dog at George's, a full cup of cold chocolate drink, 1/2 a pita sandwich, a whole slice of pizza, etc. The architectural walk placed in the middle was a good break from eating and gave us time to digest our food. Our tour guide, Ben, was fun & interesting. Having been a former resident of the area he gave us lots of personal insights of the area. By the end of the tour we were ready for a food coma nap from all the GREAT food & drinks. If we had more time, we would've stayed in the area to discover all the shops and eventually have dinner there. Only problem would've been to select where we wanted to eat between where we've been and all the recommendations Ben had given us. If had another day, we would've done the North Food Tour. My only suggestion to improve the tour would be to offer water with the food. Bring a bottle of water with you for something to drink . | ||||||

| The taste of food was wonderful. I loved the chocolate. All the owners were so nice to us and we went back to buy tea, spices and chocolate. The tour guide was very friendly and the housing was interesting. Didn't know anything about the Old Chicago nieghborhood before this. | ||||||

| We live in the Chicago suburbs and were spending a couple of days downtown and are so happy we choose to do this tour. Our guide, Kate, was outstanding. She was enthusiastic and informative. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that I want to get some friends together and do this again in the Fall. Also, we plan to do the other tour since this one was so outstanding. | ||||||

| We loved the tour!! Kent was our guide and he did a great job!!! The food was great, the stories behind the food fun, and a walk down the side streets is always a great way to see the houses and parks. The tour was fun, informative and great tasting! I found it on trip advisor, but didn't see it advertised in many other places. | ||||||

| Beautiful day and great to walk everywhere but it would have been better if we could have made a complete circle so that we could have ended back up closer to where we started. The variety of places were good and interesting. Enjoyed the teas, the chocolate, and even the deep dish pizza. tour guide did a good job of moving us along. Overall, my favorite was the spice shop where I actually learned about spices and cinnamon specifically. Wish we had more time there. The health benefits of specific food would have been interesting to hear including the mood enhancing benefits ie chocolate. Tour guide did know her stuff. | ||||||

| I selected this tour after reading reviews at www.touradvisor.com, and since it is the #1 rated tour, it was not a difficult decision. Being somewhat familiar with Lincoln Park, I decided to sign us up for the Bucktown/Wicker Park tour, so we could experience something new, and what was described as a fun, unique and eclectic part of Chicago. It certainly did not disappoint! Our tour guide, Kent ,did a fabulous job of showing our group of 10 all the sights and tastes of the area, and teaching us about the history that makes this place such a treasure to discover. We quickly regretted sharing granola bars before the tour began, since it started right off with an authentic Chicago Hot Dog. That, along with the "to-die-for" iced "hot" chocolate, pasta salad, pizza, beer, falafel sandwich and ice cream that were to come, were all outstanding! We were stuffed by the time we got to the sandwich, but were given sacks so we could take them with us. It was all fabulous, but the innovative ice cream store was the most interesting thing I've seen in a long time! It was fascinating! The historic neighborhoods, with homes dating back to the 1800's, and the interesting facts that Kent shared with us about them and their owners were intriquing. I can't wait for our out-of-state guests to visit in August, so we can take the Lincoln Park tour! We all had a fantastic time, and highly recommend this tour! | ||||||

| If you tired of shopping and want something different try both of the food tours. Great if you are by yourself and want something to do as the groups are always alot of fun. Interesting to see different parts of the city and try local food. | ||||||

| Don't miss out on this one. Mind you, you have to walk but that allowed us to stop at many different places for a little bit of history. We even backtracked to visit the stores a second time. The food and the history made for a wonderful experience. Our guide, Nikki, was excellent. | ||||||
