| An excellent activity. My Wife and I had a fabulous time. A truly unique way of discovering a new city while sampling different foods etc. The woman that took the tour was tremendous, friendly and with many interesting things to point out about the city. We strongly encourage you to try this out. Nigel & Kim, Wales, UK. | ||||||

| The food tour was a wonderful way to experience some of the culture, history, and treats of Chicago. Our guide, Nicky, was informative and entertaining and the stops we made along the tour provided a unique tasting experience. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. | ||||||

| Jen was a fantastic guide. She offered us a peek into the city that we would have not seen had we done any other tour. The walking was just the right amount, it was timed to perfection (including a bathroom break!) and all of the tastings were delicious. This walking tour gives you a glimpse into the Chicagoan neighborhoods, you can get an idea of what it's really like to live there and not experience just the tourist side of being downtown. Jen was very knowledgable, she pointed out many things to us during the walk, and she offered lot of tips on places to go, eat, shop, hang out, etc. She obviously knows the city very well and shares it quite honestly. | ||||||

| All I can say is "WOW" !!! This was the very first thing that we did on our vacation to visit Chicago and what a way to start. Our tour guide Nikki was really great. Our group was small and it was all very intimate. We learned a lot about the city as well as seeing places and going into stores that we would not have ever seen anywhere else. We travelled all the way from Bermuda and if we ever get back to Chicago we would most definitely take the Wicker Park tour. This is something you MUST do when you visit Chicago, it is well worth it. | ||||||

| Unfortunately I though this tour was pretty average. I am not a big eater yet there was definitely not enough food on this tour for the price you pay. I took a similar tour that provided more than double the amount of food. The tour guide was average and not genuine although she tried. The highlights of the tour were the chocolate, it was delicious. The oils were nice (and excellent quality) but no bread was provided which is just strange. Who tries oil straight up? Same with the spices, putting cinnamon on my hand, no matter how good the quality is and then licking it is not for me sorry. I am a foodie and maybe if I wasn't then I would have enjoyed this tour more. The pizza at the end was nice but tasted more like a quiche. The definite highlight of the tour was the architecture. Seeing different neighbourhoods that a normal visitor probably would not see was fantastic. I don’t know why some tours get so obvious when they hit you up for the tip at the end of the tour. There is nothing wrong with mentioning at the end that tips are appreciated but when you get a “let me personally say good bye to each and every one of you” even after she has already individually spoken to each us at the end is just obvious and not appreciated. | ||||||

| My wife and I were spending a week in Lake Geneva, and had planned for a day in Chicago which included this tour. We'd rank ourselves as pretty big foodies, and were very intrigued by the description and reviews of this tour. Our tour guide, Arianna, was wonderful - very well-informed, enthusiastic, and full of fun and relevant trivia to fill the walks between stores. The stores were very well chosen, and tastings well-planned and spaced out. Also, the weather was beautiful - so thank you for working that out, too! After the tour, we returned to four of the seven stops to make purchases, taking advantages of the coupons given to us during the tour. We'd recommend this tour to all of our friends, without hesitation, and will definitely check out their other one if we're back in town. Thanks again to Arianna and the rest of Chicago Food Planet for an wonderful experience! | ||||||

| We were told about the Near North Food Walking tour by a friend who did it last summer. Our group consisted of my husband and myself and our two children (age 17 & 19).It met our expectations and more. It kept all of our interests all the way through (even our teenagers). The tour guide was very knowledgable, pleasant, friendly, warm. The guide was very informative about the food establishments but she also had a great knowledge of the city along the way. We were greeted at each establishment with warmth from the store employees and were given interesting information from them as well as our guide about each individual speciality. Three hours were a concern at first but we immediately forgot about the time and when the tour was finished we actually felt like we could go on. We back tracked to a few stores to make purchases when we were done the tour. All in all an excellent way to see Chicago from an insiders point of view. Not touristy at all even though we were on a tour!! | ||||||

Th fooding tour was interesting and pleasant . May be to organize tour a little bit more expensive but with highest quality , or diversity ( chicago specialties ) ; but we are french foodies so may be we ask a lot ;-)) thank's a lot for this tour +++++ | ||||||

| We loved this tour! It had a great variety of food & drink stops and the choices were fantastic. We had never been to Chicago so it was great to do this tour as soon as we arrived so we could experience all those hidden gems. The tea & spice stores were so neat that we HAD to go back & buy something to bring home! The coupons and map given to us during the tour were an added bonus. And the Chicago stuffed pizza... WOW. We actually went back a few days later so we could enjoy it again! We also learned lots of fun facts about the local neighbourhoods from our fun & informative tour guide. Overall, I would highly recommend going on this tour! I've told everyone I know about it already. | ||||||

| The Near North Culinary Walking Tour is fantastic! I enjoyed it far more than the recommended Architectural Boat Tour. What a wonderful way to see the city, and learn interesting facts, as well as trying local cuisine. The stuffed pizza at the end is well worth the walk around. Jennifer was the best tour guide I have ever had the pleasure of having. She is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. | ||||||

| This tour was really good. My sister, daughter and I all enjoyed it enormously. The speciality food shops were interesting to see and it was good to be taken to places a bit off the beaten track, which we normally wouldn't have gone to. The Oil Tree shop and Spice Shop I particularly liked and, of course, the Fudge Shop! I liked the fact that these were mainly traditional family based businesses, using fresh and/or local produce. We went back the same day and bought some tangerine oil and some spices and, of course, chocolate! Our guide, Ariana, was lovely - very pleasant and informative, telling us lots of interesting stories. Ariana - sorry we missed you at the end of the tour - we were so busy enjoying the lovely pizza that you had already gone by the time we left. Keep up the good work! | ||||||

| Hi, My husband and I visited Chicago to celebrate our birthdays. I read the reviews on these tours and decided to book it after much consideration...after all...how good could a walking/eating tour really be? I have to say, it was really a great day and I would do it again next time I visit. We had Jessie/Curly as our tour guide and she is full of life, information and passion! Great level of detail, never a dull moment and lots of interesting sites and tastes...and it even rained heavily part way through our tour! It didn't matter cause we all had fun and made the best of it! You really should take one of their tours if you have not already. Fun day! | ||||||
