| Nikki is a great tour guide. Even though it is 3.5 hours of walking it is well worth it. You get to see all kinds of restaurants and also you get to great sightseeing venues. (Old town, Lincoln park, Gold coast, etc.). We are from California and we would recommend this tour in a heartbeat. This is a great way of spending 3.5 hours of your time in the great Chicago. And by the way if you love tea, the tea shop you visit is the best! Thanks for having this great tour. | ||||||

| I got a call from my cousin that his girlfriend surprised him with a trip to Chicago. I had been unable to go out for his birthday in Minneapolis, so I thought I'd surprise them with a food tour. I searched the web and the Near North Tour looked highly credible. I bought their tickets and told them where to go and when. They absolutely loved it, thought that they got to see a side of the city that they never would have seen otherwise. They said that there was a lot of walking, but that it was enjoyable in the Spring. They particularly liked the Olive Oil stop and the Pizza at Bocino's. I would highly recommend this as a gift for someone travelling to Chicago. I lived there for four years in college and I know the great food Chicago has to offer. I was happy to be able to share that with my cousin by buying them these tickets. | ||||||

| While Chicago is known for its public architecture, its soul resides in its neighbourhoods, and this tour is a perfect introduction to some of the green and lovely areas of the city. Jennifer our guide was engaging and absolutely lovely and we gained a terrific insight into what it could be like to live in the inner city and shop at its family-run independent food businesses. The tour started with an amazing Reuben sandwich and finished with an even richer stuffed pizza, and along the way we sipped and nibbled and swilled at a vibrant collection of local shops. Between stops Jennifer entertained us with stories about the history, architecture, character and residents of the Gold Coast, Old Town and Lincoln Park. All in all, it was a fabulous tour and we recommended it to every visitor to Chicago. | ||||||

| We all really enjoyed this tour. It involved seeing places that we would have never gone to on our own. We would like to have had time to shop in some of these stores but didn't have the time before we had to leave town. I would be prepared to walk alot and take this tour before your last day in town so that you can go back to shops that you liked. | ||||||

| It won't be possible to say enough good things about this wonderful experience! Our tour guide, Jennifer, was not only personable, but very knowledge about the architecture we passed on the trip. The shops and restaurants we visited were unique and special, and the merchants seemed genuinely happy to have us there. This was a fabulous way to get to know the city in a short time. We're looking forward to going back to Chicago in the future, and will certainly consider booking the same tour. What a bargain! | ||||||

| My friend and I had a fantastic time on our food tour. The guide was amazing- she knew so much about the city, and obviously loved her job and the city as well. The food was delicious- I was definitely full by the end of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is willing to do a bit of walking to see one of my favorite cities in the world! | ||||||

| Exceptional food and leadership! Shane, our guide, was entertaining, personable, and full of knowledge! We earned interesting facts about the city and its neighborhoods. The brochure was an accurate description of the tour. It took 3 hours and there was plenty of food for everyone. Our group was made up of couples and families from young adult and up - a nice diverse group to talk with. With all of the walking, though, it did leave us still wanting a little more food and a drink afterward. (If there were anything to add to the tour, it would be a wine tasting stop.) Each food stop was unique and left you wanting to return. These were places that we probably have walked past before, but never stopped in. We left with a page of coupons to use through December, which is wonderful because we honestly were too tired to return to any of the stops that same day (except the one we ended at). You may want to bring a bottle of water, otherwise, you have to be quick to purchase one at one of the stops. We would highly recommend the tour to others! We would go on the tour ourselves again in the future if the food stops and neighborhoods were different. My only suggestion is If there were any way you could expand to some sort of trolley or small bus tour for people who are unable to do the walking, that would be excellent! I have family members who would thoroughly enjoy this tour and it is in their price range of things to do in Chicago. However, they would not be able to participate due to the amount of walking. Great experience! It won't be forgotten. | ||||||

| My husband and I decided to do this tour at the last minute on our last day in the city. We had never been to the Gold Coast area so thought it would be fun. I'm so glad we did this because it's one of my favorite memories of the trip! First of all, our tour guide, Kate, did an excellent job. She was a wealth of information and was very friendly. The tour stops themselves were very nice. Each was unique unto itself and many of the shops were of a kind I had never been to which made it much more interesting. We actually went back to quite a few of them and shopped afterward! (They include coupons in your packet- nice touch). The most unexpected part was the architectural information that the tour included. It was very interesting to hear some of the current and past stories of different buildings and the history of the area as well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who would like a little taste of the Gold Coast/ Old Town/ Lincoln Park area. My only complaint is that we should have done this earlier in our trip so we could try out the numerous recommendations given by the tour! We also ran out of time to walk around the neighborhoods to shop but maybe next time... | ||||||

| The tour group was small (6 people) which was nice as we got to chat to the tour guide who was very friendly and forthcoming with information. The range of food places we visited was good and so was the quality. I especially enjoyed the stuffed pizza! One of the local specialities. I would recommend this tour for the beginning of your stay. We were only staying for a short time but if we'd had longer I would have definitely revisited some of the food places on the tour and tried some of the restaurant recommendations. | ||||||

| Our tour guide was amazing! We learned so much more than just information about great food in Chicago. We also learned some awesome historical facts and about some interesting architecture tidbits. The food tasting was also fantastic. My favorite was The Fudge Pot. Amazing! | ||||||
