| I have done 2 tours through this company so far and they have both been extraordinary! I absolutely LOVED this tour and would recommend it to anyone who wants to have the chicago cultural experience. However, I would have to say the only down fall of this tour is that the itinerary is a little poorly done. The portions are HUGE and the majority of the food is given in the first hour. The middle part is then a lot of walking around and learning about the city.It is very informative and the tour guides are excellent. (they make a point to individually interact with every customer). I almost felt as though there was too much food, which means you definitely get your moneys worth, but I started to feel sick by the end of the tour. You MUST pace yourself!!! It is literally a HUGE chicago style hot dog, pizza, ice cream, etc. in the first hour, a walking break, and then in the end there is more food in the last hour. You will feel stuffed but you will be pleased. I guarantee you. I would do it again in a heartbeat. :) | ||||||

| I am originally from Chicago and the tour provided a lot of good information of the local buildiings that I did not know before, even after living there for 20 plus years. The tour actually included the original playboy mansion. There is plenty to eat on the tour and the people giving the food are very knowledgable about it. Overall I could not have asked for a better tour of the heart of Chicago. | ||||||

| After reading your reviews I was highly anticipating this part of our trip and my husband and I were definitly not disappointed! Jennifer our tour guide was bubbly, informative and making sure that we were comfortable, having a good time and well fed. We learned so much about the selected neighborhoods of Chicago, things that would not have been available had we'd been just tourists and on our own. Jennifer was very knowledgeable about all things Chicago and had an answer to all our questions. Being able to visit some of the unique places such as the spice shop and vinegar and balsamic oil shop in the Oldtown neighborhood was different and fantastic! Also we got to mingle with "real Chicagoans" as opposed to the usual city tourists. The small price of the tour was the BEST BARGAIN IN CHICAGO and we highly recommend this activity to anyone in the Chicago area, visiting or otherwise...hopefully you're also be lucky to get vivacious JENNIFER as your guide!!!!! | ||||||

| My group thoroughly enjoyed our day with Kent as we walked and ate our way through Bucktown and Wicker Park. Our guide was enthusiastic and very well informed about the restaurants, background of the area, architecture, etc. The food was delicious and plentiful - a very nice variety of tastes. We definitely felt we got our money's worth! | ||||||

| Loved our tour guide, she was friendly and informative. The tour itself was great as well, not only did we get to taste some amazing food, we also got to experience some of the beautiful architecture of the city and learn the history behind the buildings. We also visited some great shops local to Chicago. Would recommend this tour to anyone! | ||||||

| The last walk for pizza had us dragging, Only one of the four us wanted to go for it but we did go. The pizza was good but we all agreed we could have gone without it. Our guide Nikki was full of interesting information. I enjoyed seeing areas a tourist dosnt' normally see. | ||||||

| We were a group of four friends, two living in Illinois and two from out of town. We all loved the tour, food, and information that we learned. We probably would not have gone to those places if it hadn't been for the tour. Looking forward to shopping at those locations in person or online. | ||||||

| Our guide Jessie was a doll! She had so much energy and personality. I am so glad they give you a guide (which included coupons for going back to the stores) to show you where we were going - we needed it to find our way back - LOL. You start out with a great sandwich (the marble rye was amazing!) then nibble and sip your way until you get to the best stuffed pizza ever. Thought at first no meat would mean blah - I was wrong! Cheesy tastiness!!! You guys asked me if there were any allergies when I booked and I do have them. I did not miss out on any part of noshing on the tour. The place that I could not eat at gave me a candy apple instead. I was 10 again :) It was good to see the rest of the Chicago area and see where real people eat and of course the wonderful and sometimes strange architecture. And the walk wasn't that bad, didn't even realize we had been at it for the 3 hours. Want to go back to those areas and want to do another tour. We HIGHLY recommend. | ||||||

| This was better than i expected. We had a wonderful guide, Nicki, who was so enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and really made the experience worthwhile. There were 4 of us and we loved the opportunity to meet others from different parts of the country as well as out of the country. I would highly recommend this event and hope to take part in the other food tours that are offered. | ||||||

| This trip was a great outing. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun, and our group liked all the stops on the tour. It was more than a sample of food all put together--we didn't have to eat lunch or dinner. The walk was close to 2 miles, but an easy pace. I'd recommend this for any adults. | ||||||

| I thought the tour was fantastic and the tour guide, Nikki (?), was quite lovely, super friendly, and very informative. There were lots of interesting tidbits on history and architecture, as well as the food. The tour stops at a few shops that you may not notice otherwise and they are a wonderful revelation. The only sour note for us was the atrocious level of service by the bartender / wait staff at the last stop, Bacino's. Our tour guide informed us of a "customer appreciation" deal being offered by Bacino's for a 3 flight tasting of some of the micro-brewed beers they serve after the tour ended. My friend and I eagerly awaited the tasting at the bar for at least 20 minutes with no service before walking out! This despite being seen by at least one waiter / bartender and mentioning to him that we wanted to do the tasting. Plus, there was only one table of people in the entire restaurant! This left a bit of a sour taste in our mouths, but it really had nothing to do with the tour. In short, the tour was great and well worth the money, but Bacino's service was awful. This is unfortunate, because the pizza was tasty. | ||||||

| I was skeptical about whether this tour would be worth the price even after reading the rave reviews. But after deciding to go ahead with it anyway I can tell you that my husband and I loved it and highly recommend it. And we thought Caroline, our tour guide, was excellent. A couple of tips for you: I highly recommend going on the tour specifically if you are staying in this area and can enjoy the places again and make use of the information you learn. We felt like we belonged more than like tourists but we stayed in this neighborhood and visited the places along the tour several times later in our stay. If you have to travel from across town then you might not get all the benefits of the tour. Do this first on your trip. It will greatly help you later. Worried about the cost? Again, if you are staying in the area and make use of all the great coupons you get then you can easily recoup a lot of your costs. Here's what we calculated: -- Tour for 2 people: $80 -- Cost of food you eat on the tour: @ $26 for two people (makes the tour itself around $50 - 55) -- Amount we saved using the coupons: $8 for our 2 free cups of tea, $26 in discounts buying two miracle tea makers, $3 in discounts at the spice shop, $20 at a buy one, get one free dinner, $3 at the chocolate shop and 2 free chocolate covered and strawberries, $8 free cigar = $68. And we were only there for 3 days!! We could have saved another $50 at restaurants and shows had we been there longer. My husband's favorite part of the tour was also the discounted flight of beer ($3 for 3 types equalling over a pint of beer) at the last place....) So if you like beer leave an extra 30 minutes of time at the end to do that after the tour is over. Overall we thought it was great. We only live an hour from the city and plan to stay in Bucktown and take their other tour on our next vacation b/c we liked it so much!! | ||||||

| A few of the stops were fantastic, while others seemed like a total waste of time. I liked the stops that had an educational component, either a demonstration or some interactive element. Overall, though, the tour was a lot of fun, very informative about the history of the area. Not what I expected at all. We went on the hottest day of the year, but it was tolerable since we made so many stops inside. I think locals will enjoy this tour even more than visitors, especially since they can come back and shop at these places. Visitors would probably prefer some more things that they would not try otherwise. | ||||||

| My husband and I loved this tour, so much so, that we can't wait to take the Bucktown Tour next. Not only was it very informative and tasty, but we met very interesting people in our group. Our guide, Caroline was wonderful and very 'perky'. Even though the weather was HOT, she kept things lively. I would highly recomment this tour to anyone, even if you've lived in the area for awhile. We learned so many things about the neighborhood that we hadn't known before and now we have new places to eat the next time we're in Chicago! | ||||||
